Personality

Jessica Star is a young, somewhat idealistic, woman. She’s usually cheerful and positive, but serious when it comes to the fight. While she can be vindictive to those who anger her she is generally kind and helpful to those she meets.

Character History

A Normal Girl..?

Her father, Ken Star, was a Crey scientist who was a project leader on one of their genetic projects. With less time than he wished to spend with her she was raised as much by her aunt, her father’s sister, Donna Belle, as she was by Ken himself. At the tender age of seven her father died in a car crash, commuting to work in Crey’s Boomtown lab caused by a Freakshow riot.

Her aunt took her in and began to raise her as her own child. Growing up in Paragon she was surrounded by a city full of heroes who stopped crime and destruction. She idolized Ms. Liberty until she turned ten and her cat got itself stuck in a tree. With people passing by, heedless of the now sobbing girl Statesman stopped by, hearing her cries. With a smile the hero floated up to the tree to give the thankful girl her cat back. It wasn’t until she became a hero herself and fetched a boy’s cat from a tree that she truly understood how significant an act this seemingly trivial matter was; the most powerful hero in the world wasn’t so beyond normal man that he couldn’t stop to fetch a girl’s cat.

Powers of Her Own

At age fourteen she found herself walking home from school when a troll riot broke out nearby. One of the Orges hurled a car that was aimed at a hero, only to miss, continue on and fall towards her. She had enough time to gasp before the car smashed into her, pinning her to the ground. After a moment something set in; she wasn’t in any pain. After a moment she shrugged the car off her as if it was a cardboard box. Confused she ran home.

She would soon learn she was blessed with superior strength, resistance to damage and flight. Fashioning a cheap disguise she left for a Freedom Corps office to inquire about getting help to understanding her powers. She was first sent to a G.I.F.T. representative to see if she was a mutant, but the tests were negative. A M.A.G.I. worker was unable to find any meaningful magic inside of her. S.E.R.A.P.H then ran a few tests to determine that, while she registered as a normal human, she was born with DNA integrated with a strange energy that seemed to have no origins in magic, science, mutations or technology.

Honing her powers until she was seventeen she fashioned a costume based on Statesman and began her career as a costumed hero...

The Truth of Her Origins

Spoiler warning: Details about a player-created storyline, or information currently unrevealed about a character, follow.

Her father was a part of a Crey genetic experiment called Project: Flag Bearer. Crey had acquired a sample of Statesman’s DNA in an attempt to clone him. The Countess explained this as a ‘just in case’ measure if something were to happen to the hero. In fact she wanted an enforcer as powerful as the legendary hero.

The first eight experiments, dubbed XSC-1 to XSC-8 (Experiment Statesman Clone) failed to develop in the cloning tanks. XSC-9 to XSC-14 was born stillborn due to unstable genes. After this Dr. Star located the main problem, located in the Y-Chromosome. In order to correct this he removed it, replacing it with an X-Chromosome acquired from Miss Liberty, Statesman’s daughter. XSC-15, XSC-16 and XSC-17 all came out alive, but died with hours, XSC-17 lasting only for eight hours.

XSC-18 was made by removing Statesman’s X-Chromosome, replacing it with one from Ms. Liberty’s DNA. XSC-18 still died, but lasted longer than her siblings, living a full week. In an effort to make XSC-19 stable and come out of the tank alive Dr. Star replaced more of Statesman’s Chromosomes with those of Miss Liberty and Ms. Liberty.

XSC-19 was born with no complications and stable DNA, but at a price of power potential. Despite this his tests indicated that she would still manifest great and potent powers. Countess Crey believed the experiment to be a failure, and ordered XSC-19 destroyed and work on XSC-20 to begin.

Rather than destroy the clone he stole her from the labs, adopting her as his own child, naming her Jessica.

Spoilers end here.

Powers

Super Strength

Infinite Glory can press at least 140 tons. She is in the upper tier of strength, but many are still more powerful than her.

Damage Resistance (Willpower)

Infinite Glory can shrug of damage and attacks that would maim and kill ordinary people. She is not bullet proof, but bullet resistant; smaller calibre arms cannot penetrate her body, but larger ones or armour-piercing ammo can.

Flight

Infinite Glory is capable of flying several miles at speeds up to mach 2.
