Johnathan has quite an array of innate powers stemming from his Celestial position, as well as from training received from Chandra Parker-Storm in the ways of the Chakravanti. Training and rank aside, the Conductor of the Empyrean Chorus changed John's note in the Universal Song to endow him with potent psychic powers. He is capable of both telepathy and telekinesis, as well as manipulation of emotion and perceptions. His magic tends towards subtle and yet surprisingly enormous undertakings, but when he decides to throw down, he is capable of tossing fire, ice, or anything else that springs into his head. He is also capable of changing the world around him in drastic ways by altering the Song. He is immortal; when the Conductor altered him, he ceased aging. He can shift dimensions, and spends much of his time learning in a realm he calls The Shadow.

Equipment | |
Chandra Parker-Storm gave him a hat, a silk scarf, and various religious artifacts. Agent Parker gave John a silksteel trench coat. He carries two Desert Eagles with him, however they seem to be of magical origin since he is never seen reloading, and the few times someone has stolen them, he has pulled them out of his holsters again. He can shape the star-fire that burns inside of him into various melee weapons.

OOC Information
John started as a lark, really, as the Invulnerability/Energy Melee tanker Eldritch Star. He's taken on a life of his own since then, and has changed into sormewhat of a monstrosity. His story is long, multi-layered, complex, and rich. Before you leap to conclusions about him based on the nigh-godliness he posesses, his personality, or much of anything else, please read it all. Get involved in it. I promise, it isn't going where you expect.
-Zao.
Full Name: Ezekiel Johnathan Smythe-Warren
Known Aliases: The Eldritch Star, now retired; Rumours have begun slowly wending their way out of the Rogue Isles that Johnathan has taken the moniker Knight of Ashes as one of Arachnos’s foremost experts on the blending of magic and psychic powers, mutations, and technology. More on the Knight of Ashes later. Johnathan has registered himself as The Wheel Turner in an effort to win back the affections his now-ex-boyfriend, Ozell One. Finally, our seers have also begun to sense the beginnings of a new thread of destiny linked to the name Agent Empyrean, but anything clearer than that has been blocked from even our most attentive and dedicated attentions.
Known Relatives:
- Mother, Susan, still happily married to her husband of 29 years. She maintains the same job as a clerical assistant in the Salamanca branch of Paragon University that she met her husband at. She is known to be both homophobic and very anti-Hero, thinking that people should learn to take care of themselves, keep their eyes down and noses to the grindstone. She hasn’t spoken with Johnathan since she kicked him out of the house.
- Father, Andrew James sr. studied with Paragon University on a swimming scholarship, but his interests rested with the biological sciences. He graduated with passable marks, but rejected all three offers of employment we gave. Intelligence suggests that he expected to be left the lion’s share of Smythe Pharmaceuticals, started by his father. Andrew is also known to be a bigot, but to a much lesser degree than his wife.
- Eldest brother, (name to be filled in when the player gets it to me), was star quarterback, and graduated with a 3.59 average, already accepted by Stanford University in California. He returned to Paragon City once he had finished his Master’s degree. He also rejected out offer of employment.
- The next youngest son, (same thing about the name), followed in his brother’s footsteps, although he didn’t make quarterback until his senior year. He did, however, graduate with a 4.0 grade point average, and accepted an invitation from Oxford University. Three and a half years later, (___) returned to New England, taking up residence in a small borough outside of New York where he works developing curricula for children with specific needs, whether they be lacking in focus and attention or they have overabundance, perhaps, are too smart for their peers. He works with us on a consultant case-by-case basis. He is our most likely entrance into the family.
