Jonas Sahandra began as a bit of boredom on a mud. They allowed Vampires at the time, and so he was created based on the idea that another race for the world could be vampires as well. From there, he has been played over many systems and with two main variations. This is the dark one.

History
To Jonas Sahandra, 6th born child of royal house Rahken, life was trying, his mother died in his birth and his father not long after. To make matters worse, while to a human he might be fairly attractive, to his kind his features are mongrel, he is off white when he would better be pure white or deep ebon, he is lithe but too lithe for his panther like lineage and he has a bright red mane of hair that is more in keeping with the lion like lineage. Life would have been hard for him, but for his Older brother Ragen, who was set up as prince regent of their house after their parents died.
Ragen kept Jonas close to him often and forced more then one lesson in magic on him, and Jonas grew up, well but not completely peacefully. On the day of his hunt, the right of passage his brother took him on at age 10, Jonas nearly died. Ragen had stooped to cut the heart out of a young buck Jonas had killed and unwary, was attacked from behind by an assassin. Jonas leapt between the two and recieved a katana slice that cut him from left shoulder to right hip. The wound nearly severed his body and if not for a priestess of Bahst being near he would have died.
Jonas has always been there for his brother when he could, he would have died for him gladly, but he was the downfall of his house. His fiancee Princess Keryn of House White Mane was dying of cancer something that was not repairable by magic. Jonas became desperate to save her. He did so through a ritual that awakened the chimeric blood of his family line and became very much a vampire. He then turned Keryn to preserve her life. He drew himself to more distance from his brother and hid his secret well, but unlike him who was changed to a vampire, Keryn was reborn. Whereas he did not thirst nor was he greatly affected, Keryn needed to be controlled and nurtured as any young Vampire, something Jonas had no idea of. Her thirst and turning of more than should have been led the other houses to capture Rahken and execute much of its nobility.
In the end, a goddess stepped in to recompense house Rahken and the corruption of the other nobles led to the downfall of the entire Jagan homelands. Jonas had carried this all on his shoulders. He later wandered away from the wreck of his life, his fiancee missing. He found himself in a small farming community of his people and traded work tilling the fields at night for a place to rest at day and to share in their meager meals as he had no real need to feed on blood. A farm girl took to him and though he wanted nothing in romance she eventually convinced him he was hers.
While away, Jonas's new home was burned and his wife abducted. He ran through the village pulling out bodies from the flames, the rest of the night was spent ignoring a vampires great fear of flame and tearing through rubble for survivors. He found none, and pursued his wife as he found not her body. Jonas never noticed the sunrise, nor did he notice that the flames would not kill him until many days later. He killed the band who had raided his village and its warlord, but found nothing of his wife.
He pursued her into the lands of the dark gnomes, only to meet up with a band of assassins sent for him; slaying all but one and fighting that one to a standstill. The man took him in and trained him as an assassin which incidentally negated any official assassination contracts on Jonas. He pursued the career of assassin looking for his wife until he learned his brother Ragen was alive. He set about finding his brother with the intention of raising him up as the king of their people. Of his wife, he had lost hope.
Many struggles ensued, the most prevalent finding his brother and then raising his brother's child after he died. Jonas learned of his own grandchildren and took them in. He began to find himself after more then a century of life... growing discontent. He had been warned of this by an elder vampire, one of the few Jonas had not killed on sight. He finds himself in Paragon city, not sure how or why.. not sure if he even wants to keep on living, life has become boring and even though he has found the cause of a hero... he has not been able to embrace it it as more than a job.
In paragon a bit of an accident occurred when a scientists tried to help him restore some of his powers, he had defeated the pumpkin king in Croatoa and made a pie from him that when mixed with the ingredients meant to boost his powers, has drawn out his more vampiric qualities even further, developing them in ways he never really felt the need to pursue. His love of alcohol is now stymied for he cannot seem to get drunk, though he knows simply feeding a little from a drunk mortal would work he is hesitant to do so, it has been nearly a decade since he has fed.
Disturbingly he has noticed himself still staying in pocket D when he knows he cannot get drunk, found himself watching the people around him as.. prey.
With the help of contacts and many of the inductees in the seeker's of luster he has determined that he is in fact possessed. Now carrying twin blades as he works to teach his friend Marazel the art of the sword, he searches out the culprits for his afliction in Croatoa.
The key to his possession was sold by Jack in Irons to an unlikely source, the praetorian, Tyrant. After venturing into the praetorian earth and battling his way through many dark versions of heroes he at last came to Tyrant, who had also made use of Jonas for his own plan to capture his alternate self, statesman. Giving in to his feral vampire instincts was inevitable, but Jonas waited until he had snuck up behind tyrant and then struck, draining some of the villain's power with his life blood. The aftermath of the battle has left Jonas in control of hismelf again, but also with new powers.
Personality
Jonas Sahandra, usually seems to act about the way he looks, a late teenager, raring to have fun and live life to its fullest, though there are many differences between his normal society and the one he is in now. He may seem older when he is not speaking in bar English and or talking about things that would seem out of place for a teen. Despite his less then studious nature he has acquired a great deal of knowledge.
He serves a trine pantheon of his world, life/death, nature and fate. his people also worship bahstet more as the spirit of their people, revelry being a major part of their religion. His focus is on the death aspects when working.

Caretaker of the base for the Seekers of Luster, technically the leader of the super group.
Powers
Dark Melee
This is the culmination of his house martial arts, assassination techniques and energy manipulation, he strikes in a quite deadly manner and his shadowy chi clings to his enemies making if difficult for them to see clearly to strike back.
Super Reflexes
Assassins are good at killing, but Jonas excels at avoiding and defending himself from his enemies, part acrobatics, part soft style martial arts, and part conditioning for unnatural flexibility. Jonas is as difficult to hit in combat as air and often rushes into hordes of enemies merely to distract them from his companions.
Additional Powers
Manipulating his body's energy is two part, first he is a vampire and they are naturally capable of this, and then through his martial studies he has strengthened this. He possesses unnatural strength and near super speed, he can leap long distances and even defy gravity. His powers of regeneration and recovery are phenomenal compared to a normal person and he can even cloak himself in shadows partially. Once using his shadowed chi to project waves from his body, after feeding on Tyrant's blood and power, he has developed more powerful senses as well as eyebeams and a driving wave of red life energy for an attack. His perfected demon form's eyes also glow eerilly now.
Abilities
He knows many lores from his world of vampires, his people and magic. He is an expert hunter and tracker. As an assassin his knowledge of anatomy is exceptional, his knowledge of healing is quite good as well.
Weaknesses and Limitations
Though not weak to the sun or fire or even holy items, Jonas adheres to strict moral codes, he believes in his word and follows it directly. For all intents and purposes consider him just a long lived hero, being a vampire may give him access to all sorts of things, but he shies away from hsi darker nature. If anything he seeks too often to avoid using his powers.
His greatest weakness is the ability to say something at absolutely the wrong time. He is prejudiced against elves having been taugh of their duplicity on his homeworld and is wary of feminism as his culture experienced an extreme tilt of power from equality to matriarchy in leadership. In some clans of his people men became not just second class they were slaves in all but word. His people must be free, the idea of being bound up is worse than death. Of course, it is also a show of devotion between couples when one allows another to bind them.
Equipment
He has subspace pockets for so many gadgets and weapons it would take too long to describe, Jonas has no technophobia and happily carries shotguns with his longbow, sadly getting arrows is a problem and he has not quite figured out how to get a shotgun reloaded.
