Character History

Jack "The Man" Mannington is the son of Wilson Mannington, better known to the folks of Paragon City as the original 'Juice Lord'. Wilson had been mutated by an expired carton of orange juice, and found that he'd been able to use his voice to stop evil-doers in their tracks. Alongside fellow heroes The Waffler, Two-Egg Mojo, Princess Hashbrown, and the Dairy Ninja, they'd patrolled the city as the Champions of Breakfast, but all that was long ago.

The mutant genes passed from father to son, but not in the same way. As he passed into adulthood, Jack found that he could control the very air around him, and that he seemed to be able to mentally "push" others. One day, Jack saw that new heroes had taken up the banner of the Champions of Breakfast. With his father long since passed away, Jack chose to follow in his father's footsteps. Creating an outfit, he became the new Juice Lord, ready to carry on the family legacy.

Personality

As a second-generation hero, helping the good people of Paragon City runs in Juice's family blood. He's the first to step up with a helping hand, a kind word, or a bad joke to lighten the mood. Nothing gets him down. Even though he brings storm clouds to bear, in his world, it's always a sunny day.

Powers

With the might of wind, rain, and lightning at his beck and call, Juice is a force to be reckoned with. Mighty storms do his bidding, chilling enemies to the bone and striking them down with crashing lightning. Not all his weather control is done for damage, though. His mists obscure him and his teammates from sight, allowing them advantageous strikes, and his oxygen-rich vapours infuse his friends with health and well-being.

When Juice needs something more subtle, he brings the powers of his psyche to bear. Whether sending a mental jolt to a raging Troll, or putting a Rikti invader to sleep, the powers of the mind are his to command, and many is the enemy who has been wracked with pain from afar, as Juice's Psychic Lance pierces their thoughts.

Additional Powers

Juice flies across the city, held aloft on winds of his own making. Those same winds have been known to whisk a teammate from across town to Juice's location, instantly.

Equipment

Juice's has spared no expense to make sure he is outfitted for any environment. In addition to his normal gear, Juice has been seen in specialized scuba gear (for underwater assaults or approaches) and even a HazMat suit (saving him from poisonous or radioactive damage). Other outfits may also exist.

He has been seen to carry many different weapons, none of specific import. It does show that he understands having 'the right tool for the right job.' One recurring weapon he has used is an enchanted axe that does devastating damage to undead creatures.
