Personality
Occasionally "cheerful," but more often a no-nonsense get-down-to-business attitude carries Justicehawk through her daily grind. However, once she puts on her costume, her spirit soars at the freedom she has come to know --both in flight and in fighting evil rather than living under the oppression of arachnos. Even coming into conflict with Arachnos troops does little to dampen her spirits... in fact, she revels in each victory knowing that's one more soldier that won't be aiding Lord Recluse's evil empire.

Powers
Justicehawke's "powers" formerly came from high tech equipment that she found in the Rogue Isles, presumably discarded or stashed supervillain gear. The technology was unstable, however, and after numerous failures, she eventually turned it over to Positron for study. Not wanting to give up the feeling that came with battling the forces of evil and protecting the helpless, she sought training with some of Paragon City's premier super heroes and trained to defend herself with a simple shield to compensate for the loss of her old equipment. She has also become quite the formidable melee combatant.
Shield Defense
Justicehawke has shown some remarkable improvement over her old abilities with the tech gear using little more than a simple shield and her unflagging determination to win. She has, of course, used a number of different shields from a basic piece of triangular steel to a reinforced round shield to an experimental force shield.
Martial Arts
Justicehawke possesses strength normal for an athletic person of her age and build that exercises frequently. However, the damage she can inflict seems almost superhuman. Previously, she relied on her variable density power-mace which amplified the strength of her attacks a hundred-fold and also had an electro-shock component designed to briefly stun an opponent. Now she accomplishes even more with little more than her martial arts prowess using a combination of styles.
Character History
Libby Prescott was born in the Rogue Isles where, growing up under the tyranny of Arachnos, she learned an appreciation for the U.S. legal system --more like admiration from afar. After graduating high school, she started studying law at the Cap au Diable university where courses were offered mostly for aspiring shysters and villains looking to beat the system if they were ever caught. One day, on her way home to Port Oakes, Libby was set upon by Hellions intending to mug her. A chance encounter with one of Arachnos's "destined ones" gave her time to run, but the villain proved only a minor distraction for the gang members who were quite well armed. Sneaking into an abandonned warehouse to hide, she stumbled across some crates. From the outward appearance of the gear, it was very likely some super villain's stash or possibly discarded when the bad guy upgraded --who can say for certain. She suited up and prayed the gear actually worked. When she grabbed the mace, everything powered up and the control helmet guided her flight with relative ease. As the Hellions broke through the door, they started firing at Libby. She flew for a skylight and smashed through it with her mace and headed home. On the way, she had a couple of close calls with other fliers, though they didn't seem overly concerned with her. However, she did take the time to rescue a civilian from some Arachnos mob thugs, and she decided if she were going to be a hero, she should go where she could get proper training.
Packing as little as possible of her necessities, Libby flew as high as she could, aimed for Paragon City, then activated the suit's booster pack. She arrived in less than an hour. Using what little money she had, she rented an apartment in Atlas Park. From there, she set about finding work and was lucky enough to land a temp job as a para-legal. Once she'd gotten settled, she donned her gear and flew to City Hall to register for her license. There, she was directed to Ms. Liberty for training. Ms. Liberty remarked how, like many novice heroes, Libby looked more like a super villain than a hero. Libby confessed how she came by her "powers" and asked for help establishing a real heroic identity. Following her heart, as Ms. Liberty told her, she was inspired by memories of a World War 2 super soldier... her dad used to read comic books about him to her as bedtime stories when she was little. So, she constructed a patriotic costume and adopted the name Justicehawke to uphold the ideals of America. She hopes to continue her schooling so that she may one day fight crime on both the streets and in the courtroom.
With repeated failures in her equipment, Justicehawke has learned to rely on little more than a simple shield and her own skills in battle. Fearing that the technology might be unstable or even dangerous, she turned all of it over to Positron for research and possibly disposal. She has had fantastic success despite being effectively depowered, though she attributes this to needing to be more focused to make up for the lack of armor she once wore.

Anarchy Grrrl
A ruthless, downright vicious villain bent on taking revenge against all heroes, but patriotic-themed ones in particular, for the perceived wrong done to her by one during a battle with Hellions in which she was injured and and permanently scarred, ruining her professional career as a model.
Random Trivia and OOC stuff
- Justicehawke is an alternate reality version of Liberty-Lass, a character that I play on multiple servers. Every incarnation is similar to the others, though --as is typical of alternate reality dopplegangers-- each maintains some differences to set them apart from the others. On the Virtue server, the name was already taken... rather than try for some corrupt spelling of the name, I gave her a new name and let it influence how I developed her backstory.
- The original Liberty-Lass is a Level 47 Natural Invulnerability/Super Strength Tanker on the Freedom server. She wasn't intended to possess "true super strength," though, and it is more of a representation of her melee skills focusing more on punching and blocking techniques.
- The second major incarnation of Liberty-Lass is a Level 35 Natural Martial Arts/Super Reflexes Scrapper on the Justice server. When I became disenchanted with the invulnerability powerset (right after Enhancement Diversification was first introduced), I gave up on the tanker concept and made this incarnation a true martial artist. This particular incarnation of Liberty-Lass actually hails from the Praetorian Earth where she was fighting for her life against Bobcat and her minions while both Dominatrix and Tyrant himself looked on. She had walked into a trap and wasn't likely to survive, but the Libby of the Justice server's Earth --a true super strength titan with magical powers-- arrived at exactly that spot on a mission from Portal Corps. Seeing the state of things on the Praetorian Earth, but knowing her own world needed her, she sent her Praetorian doppleganger back in her place and was last seen knocking out Bobcat and charging forward to meet Tyrant head on with a smile on her face.
