Personality
Daring, dangerous but calculating, Kala hasn't made her way through the Isles on the use of superhuman might nor endurance, but rather her mastery of technology and gadgetry. Her nature often veers towards carefree but she has has never lost sight of the truth that she is still a human living in a world of supers. She tends to be lazy with her speech around others but, when things are serious, she's eloquent and precise. She lives and dies for her family and her gang.
The Jane Gang
It started first with herself and her brother: it grew into something much bigger. Both holding an uncanny mastery of high tech gadgetry, they and a close circle of internet friends designed a set of forcefield shields and weaponry that continues to grow into one of the most dangerous crime sprees that the Isles has seen. After a brief stint in prison, they befriended Damon, the last of the Jane gang.
David Jane
Kala's Brother and the co-founder of the Jane Gang. The two are inseparable.
Glocklock
A family friend who they kept in contact through an underground internet network "Loadzone", Glocklock was with them for their first ever daring raid on an Arachnos installation.
Sabbat
David and Jane's role playing buddy from the 'school days, Sabbat got his nickname for his frenzied defence of the "World of Darkness" playing system.
Redline
An early inclusion to the Jane Gang, Redline was another friend from the internet hacker network that Kala and David originally were members of.
Fyrewir3
Another member of the secretive hackers "Loadzone", Fyrewir3 came to join the gang later in their career, bringing with him a dangerous knowledge of pyrotechnics that has proved extremely valuable.
Damon
David Jane met Damon in the 'zig during their brief stint. They formed a quick friendship and helped one another escape in the confusion of an Arachnos raid, and now is a permanent fixture to the Jane Gang. He's a Super Strength Mutant Brute, and the only true metahuman in the gang.
Only Human
Barring Damon, the entire Jane Gang is human, supported by their incredible knack of gadgetry and high-tech armoury. Each carries a personal forcefield generator, highly resistant to all forms of damage and reflective of most force effects. Furthermore, Kala herself has her Holoshield Gloves that generate a second dispersion bubble to protect her gang. This leaves the entire gang much more resilient than any normal human - most impacts simply buffet them from side to side, causing bruises rather than fractures. Only the most serious of damage can penetrate the forcefields, and if this happens the medical teleporters are quick to respond.
Kala herself tends to be the weakest link in the gang - she carries the Holoshield Gloves that are capable of protecting others but provide minimal resistance for herself. In dire needs, she can overload the wiring and make herself nearly invulnerable, but is loath to do so as it leaves her friends and family more open to assault.
Gadgetry and Weaponry
Holoshield Gloves
This matching pair of fingerless gloves has one half of a keyboard in either hand, giving her total wireless freedom when she roams. With the press of a button she can generate additional forcefields around her gang or can overload the device to protect solely herself. Furthermore, the devices have countless lines of code that adapt to almost any source, allowing her to quickly hack and bypass most known security systems in a heartbeat.
Malta tech Pistols
While not directly filched, these dual pistols are an impressive redesign on the technology stolen from the Malta Gunslingers. Each one has computer assisted sights and liaises with her Holoshield Gloves to provide unmatched accuracy against even the most elusive target. The deadly gunfire from these pistols as well as the associated technology of her gang is enough to bring down even the hardiest troll pumped up on Superdyne.
Rocket Boots
For getting around the Isles quickly, and in style. The rest of the Jane Gang have piston boots.
Trivia
o The health bar is not a representation of HP. Instead, it's the individual members resistance remaining in their personal force fields. Once that runs out, the forcefields overloads and teleports them to safety.
o Kala thinks Woefull is awesome. Dangerously awesome and somehow trustworthy.
o Kala's fascination with Malta tech has led to one or two daring raids. She had her first taste of open conflict with the Malta recently and scrounged a lot of valuable equipment.
o Her favourite alcoholic drink is Bourbon. She keeps a hip flask of Makers Mark on her at all times.
o Her hair colour - "Nanotech Pink" - is mutable with the flick of a few buttons on the holoshield gloves.
o She listens to mostly industrial and metal. Often times she can be heard with KMFDM blasting through her Ipod.
o For her rough exterior, she's still a computer geek at heart. The Jane Gang act tough and menacing, but only really get incited when their network game of Counter-Strike is interrupted.
o If Kala is defeated, the rest of the Jane gang instantly teleport away to safety. As she carries the Holoshield Gloves that let them fight superpowered foes, without her presence they are substantially weakened.
