Twenty years ago, the Aeon Corp. genetics lab based in Grandville was conducting experiments in human genome splicing in order to further Lord Recluse’s supersoldier program. Project X2-739, human DNA genetically enhanced with a cocktail of feline DNA, was an experiment in searching for an answer to repair faulty genes that often accompany transgenic human soldiers. Unfortunately, feline DNA was too unstable and the project was terminated. By then Project X2-739 was nearly at full term by a surrogate female. Unwilling to allow the scientists to abort the fetus, the surrogate managed to escape and quickly disappeared in the many slums scattered around the Rogue Isles.

Searches for the surrogate and the genetically enhanced transgenic infant was called off a few years later when scientists assured Aeon Corp. that the baby would not have survived due to genetic flaws in the experiment...... But the infant survived.

Katriss is quiet and reserved, but very curious about everything around her. She is wary of strangers and can seem shy at times, but she's really making observations around her. Katriss is not self-conscious of how she looks, she is use to being called a freak. She also loves to cook, especially baking and creating new dishes. She adores flowers and animals. Katriss also smells faintly of roses and vanilla. She has tattoos that gracefully scroll across her back and down her arms.

Katriss possesses several physical enhancements as a result of genetic engineering. She has enhanced strength, reflexes, agility, stamina and coordination. Her eyesight and hearing are also enhanced. As for her physical health, she has accelerated healing and her immune system has been enhanced. She is in peak athletic condition and skilled in close quarter combat.

Any details regarding her true abilities is unknown. Any data pertaining to her was destroyed when Aeon Corp. terminated the experiment. However, those with connections will be able to find her medical records among many of Arachnos' hidden secret files on genetic experimentation.

The only weapons Katriss carries are a pair of impervium claw blades. She prefers to wear leather instead of body armor.

Katriss remembers very little about her childhood. Her earliest memories are of living on the streets of Mercy Island with other orphans, stealing and struggling to survive. She eventually joined up with a group of Skulls and honed her skills of thievery. By her early teens, she had moved on and found refuge at an abandoned warehouse in Port Oakes. She began working as a message courier for Arachnos, sometimes doing small jobs for them too. However at night, she lived a life as a thief for hire. Now she hires her skills as a private courier and does an odd job or two with Vanguard.

Katriss never thought twice about her choice of lifestyle until Arachnos sent her on a mission in Grandville. Unable to set off bombs that would have destroyed innocent civilians, she decided to travel away from the Isles. She found temporary employment with Vanguard and discovered a world beyond what she knew.
