Keilana
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
"Go without a coat when it's cold; find out what cold is. Go hungry; keep your existence lean. Wear away the fat, get down to the lean tissue and see what it's all about. The only time you define your character is when you go without. In times of hardship, you find out what you're made of and what you're capable of. If you're never tested, you'll never define you character."

Affiliation
Keilana recently joined the group "The Immortal Champions", a group led by Chapel. A group that dedicates itself to the protection of Paragon City from the menace of the Rikti.
Personality
She can be very headstrong sometimes, but never without good cause. In her eyes. Cruel sometimes, but only to perhaps prove a point. To try and help someone, even if that's not the right way to go about it. But get passed this side of her, and you will find a woman who is very compassionate and caring about those around her. Given her upbringing.. what she fought her whole life for, how could she have turned out differently?
"Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow. Don't walk behind me, I may not lead. Walk beside me and be my friend."
Powers
Keilana's powers are control of flames, pyrokinesis. With only her will she can create fire from this air and project it however she sees fit. This can be used to neutralize an enemy, destroy objects and so on. As time goes on, as she uses her powers more, she is using them with more finesse. She is able to find more applications for her abilities, and augmenting the abilities she already knows.
Misc. Info
Due to the different gravity of her homeworld from Earth, she has slightly enhanced phyiscal attributes. Under optimum conditions, she can bench press 700 pounds. She is also slightly faster than normal humans.
Her armor is light and durable. It's made to be flexible and light, but still offer good protection in battle. It's the traditional armor of her people. It's color and decorations are meant to show rank and specialty.
Her Story
Keilana was born upon the world known as Tellera. It's a world not in this realm, instead it's in a different dimension. Her race is a slave race, and has been for centuries. The masters of the world of Tellera aren't the Tellerans themselves, but instead Human. A race of Humans are the ones who rule over the Tellera and their world, using both for what they see as fit.
She was born into the Foreightis Clan, a lesser known sect on one of the northernmost continents on her world. Like many young, she was trained to serve her Human masters in whatever it is they would require of her. A fighter, worker or what may have you. Keilana to have a natural talent for fighting. Almost as soon as she could walk she was learning to battle. She was almost 10 when she first learned to use weapons. Those of her clan did not like seeing such a young child being used in such a manner, but it was something they had seen over and over. And what choice did they have?
Much of her life was spent fighting for her Human masters. Whatever they wished her to fight, she fought. there were even times when she was ordered to hunt down her fellow Tellerans and fight them. And her battles always ended the same way, with her opponent dead.
Later in her life, there were rumblings in her Clan of a resistance movement.. an underground network of Tellerans who were fighting to oppose their oppressive Human masters. Of course, she saw this as her chance to finally be able to do some good for her enslaved people. And so, she became part of the resistance. She would still serve her Human masters, but she would also fight against them covertly. For years she secretly fought against her masters. And over time, she became one of the better warriors in their sect, and a leader.
Things in her world changed 1 month ago (in Earth time)..
During something of a routine (though she would tell you there was never anything routine about anything the resistance did) raid on a Human supply depot, those around her began to sense that somethign was terribly wrong. As if "the air itself was beginning to unravel". What they didn't know is that the barriers dividing dimensions was breaking down, thanks to Human experimentation both on Tellera and Earth. The battle at the depot had begun, and of course Keilana lead the charge. For as long as it lasted for her. One moment she was about to engage armored Human guards, and the next she found herself surrounded by buildings that seemed to touch the sky. A moment of panic.. of utter fear.. and she realized she was no longer on her world. Instead she found herself upon another Human controlled world. And she didn't like it. Because she was now alone, she wasn't surrounded by her clan or the resistance.. it was just her and a whole planet of Humans. Many of them with the same sort of powers she had. Some with more power, some with not as much. But a Human with any power is a dangerous beast. This is something Keilana has learned in her life..
And so, what now? She had come to find that not all of the Humans were oppressive in nature. Only.. some of them. And so, she reached out. She did her best to find herself in the company of Humans that she could.. perhaps tolerate. Perhaps, she thought, it is better to be int he company of an enemy than to be totally alone..
How do you let someone go? How do you understand that’s alright? That everything changes. How do you find a way for that to make you feel good about life, instead of breaking your heart? The hardest thing you’ll ever learn is how to say good-bye.
