Personality
Her appearance may have changed somewhat, but Kherianda is still Karen at the core. She can be quiet, supportive, insightful; but can also be shallow, self-centered, and show poor judgment. Karen never wanted to fight for the regime, or against the resistance; or even now for the city; mainly she just wants good stories to advance her career. Once interviewed in Paragon City, she found being on the air to be thrilling. Though she isn't terribly smart, she intends to leverage her appearance and superpowers to fight her way into the broadcast field.
Powers And Abilities

Kherianda's powers sourced from an accidental partial merging with a magical leyline from another dimension. The kinetical power from this line infused her with the ability to increase or decrease speeds, change densities, transfer and even siphon powers, and even to translocate objects and people. She uses a bow as well; and has taken the rudimentary skills from her high-school archery class, combined them with some extra-planar magic, and become a so-soarcher. She's been known to make arrows burn fiercely in mid air. Kherianda tries to be useful on a team; she keeps handy supplies for helping out when things get difficult, and can use her magic to keep her teammates fighting effectively. Recently, while covering action in the Praetorian War, Kherianda's power has increased considerably, possibly through gaining some of the attention of the Well of the Furies. |

History
Karen was born in Imperial City to happy parents. As she grew up, it was clear she was entirely ordinary, which relieved them to no end. After Karen graduated from Primary Education, her parents made certain she received the basic two-year education at their neighborhood community college. Karen was average in school, but did show an interest in art; which led her to pursuing an Art History degree from Imperial College. Her studies went well, though unexceptional.
In her third year, Karen had an after-hours student job helping a professor studying artistic styles of pre-imperial mystical cults. One evening, while tracing an arcane design, she triggered a spell which touched her to a flow of magical energy from another dimension. Her professor quickly countered the spell, but she had already become plane-touched. To this day, she feels he had set her up to take the hit from that instead of himself.
With so many famous heroes and villains about, she sees this an opportunity to become famous as a photographer and correspondent. She's super-powered enough to see places and participate in tasks that ordinary reporters simply couldn't, and who gets on the news the most? Reporters do! She presently takes paparazzi-style tabloid photographs freelance for the Talos Tattler, and works for WSPDR Radio doing short subject interviews and reading the news on a graveyard-hour program -- WSPDR Impact Report.
Ordinary Life
Kherianda has an apartment in Talos Island, and spends much of her time following famous superheroes and villains with her camera; getting onto strike teams in the city, the isles, and even Praetoria to get that next story.
Kherianda is freelance, and sells stories to a number of news outlets, but primarily the Talos Tattler in print, and to WSPDR for voice and video.

Kherianda is technically a perma-rogue, and can and will go on any mission without IC moral or ethical qualm. She may stop fighting to take team and action photos, or pause to type up story notes at inconvenient times.
