The Nictus
Known to Kimberly as Umbrage Scion, she is far from shy about her darker other half, he guides her and she listens, often grudgingly. Umbrage is quite protective of his host, often acting for her when he deems it necessary to protect her, Kimberly of course hates the idea that someone needs to protect her and she often fights his control. Occasionally she has been successful in willing these mini battles of will but whether he lets this happen or she actually does win is unknown.
He has only recently decided to pursue the path of the Warshade, it is believed that since his melding with Kimberly he has remained unaligned to either side of the Kheldian war.
Personality
Smart ass, its the first thing most people think after speaking to Kimberly, even only shortly. Wise beyond her years thanks to her melding with Umbrage, she is often both completely open and annoyingly cryptic all at once. Her demeanor however is overall pleasant, but she doesn't believe in tact, or purposeless formality. She speaks in an intelligent manner with a slight accent.
Powers
Umbral Control
Through her meld with the Nictus Kimberly can wield and manipulate the signature dark and negative energy of the Nictus. She can bind others, hurls bolts of negative energy, and even shapeshift into offensive and defensive kheldian forms. Her control of Nictus energy also allows her to step through the shadows and fold space around her or others.
Brawling
Growing up in a rough area of Paragon as a kid, Kimberly learned from an early age to throw a punch with the best of them. While she lacks any true form to her brawling skills, she can hit hard when she needs to and its a nice compliment to the Nictus powers. Its safe to say she's seen her fair share of brawls and barroom throw downs and she can handle her own.

- Kimberly often chain smokes Marlboro reds, however she dislikes the smell and taste of cigarettes, her Nictus came to enjoy them when melded with his last human host and she smokes them for his sake. She often comments that the smell and taste remind her too much of her father.
- Kimberly has darker rings around her eyes and often doesn't sleep well.
