King of Blue Lions
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
This article about a character is a stub -- a small, but growing, work in progress. If you're the creator of this character, why not consider expanding it?
The King of Blue Lions is a role-playing character on the Virtue server. He is a work-in-progress and is currently unaffiliated with any specific groups or factions.
I realize to many his name may sound a bit silly, so I would like to go on record as saying that I am terrible at naming characters. 100 Points and a Snickers bar to whomever picks out where his name is from.

The Mutant
This area is information about Henry the "Mutant" - This does not contain data on his actual character, but is simply an explanation of his powers.
Mutation
Henry is a mutant. His mutation primarily affects the way his body operates, but is also manifest with a few physical deformities, most obviously in his ears, which are large and abnormally shaped. He also has a set of small, blunt horns growing from his forehead just above his brow; however, these are usually covered by the goggles he tends to wear on his forehead, and so are less obvious. His blue hair color is not in fact a product of his mutation, but is simply blue hair dye.
Internally, his mutation is concentrated in the mitochondria, the parts of the cell that produce energy. Henry operates at a much higher level of energy than a normal human as a result of this. This mutation allows him to run faster and longer, to jump higher and farther, and to recover faster from injury and illness than a normal human. Though far above the capability of a civilian, these abilities are not extreme; he is not as fast as the Flash, nor can he leap tall buildings like Superman, and his regeneration is nowhere close to that of Wolverine. As an added effect, this internal mutation places his normal body temperature 4.2 degrees Fahrenheit above normal. This makes his skin very warm to the touch, and he shows up very clearly on thermal scans, as his body - especially his ears - radiates a large amount of heat.
Perhaps most importantly, it's been discovered that most beings, human or otherwise, that operate at a normal level are highly sensitive to the unique energy that Henry's body produces. When in contact with another person (skin-to-skin), the energy radiating from him is transferred to the other person, essentially jump-starting their body's natural healing response, causing them to feel less tired, and any wounds on their body begin healing at a rapid rate.
Abilities
Henry is a novice Hero, and has had no formal training of any kind. While his mutation was present from birth, he did not know until recently that he could use his energy to heal, and so has had no help in honing his mutant abilities. Because of this, his level of control is crude at best, and any techniques he's developed have been simplistic and self-taught.
Recently, he as been practicing to "project" the healing energy from his body over short distances. He can now reach an ally up to several feet away without touching them; however, this kind of technique requires an enormous amount of energy to perform, dozens of times higher than an energy transfer from direct touch. As such, despite essentially being a walking power plant, performing these techniques will leave him fatigued after only a short time.
Aside from his "Healing" powers, Henry defends himself in battle through the use of an old machine gun. The weapon itself is fairly unremarkable, and his skill with it is mediocre at best, but just holding the weapon grants him confidence and a sense of safety and security that allows him to better handle dangerous situations.
Henry does not often engage in hand-to-hand combat. Though he is fairly muscular and can put a decent amount of force behind a punch, any direct contact with his opponent sparks an energy transfer, essentially erasing any damage done by the attack. Because of this, he will often wear very thick gloves and boots to battle, in case any situation were to arise that would have him fighting his enemy face-to-face.
The Man Himself
While "The Mutant" was a section on Henry's powers, this section is dedicated to Henry himself, as the man, not the hero.
This section is incomplete. It will be added soon.
