Bound to the Amulet
The seas laughed, lashing on both sides, the heavens bellowed their anger and the winds attacked the shredded sails whipping uselessly amidst the rigging of the tiny merchant ship. The skies thundered and tore another gaping wound in the side of the storm tossed ship. The storm claimed them. A traveling Knight plummeted into the icy deep, his lungs filled with air, desperate to survive. In his last moments of consciousness he sees a light, shining down below and he reaches for it, blackness nibbles at his vision and the fire in his lungs roars in his ears as his outstretched fingers grip the light weakly. The Light, an amulet, claimed him granting immortality, of sorts. It is now said that if one of the Piast bloodline holds the amulet, they can upon the spirit of their great champion the mystical knight Konrad the Lightning, at the price of a little of their own life.
The exact appearance of Konrad seems to change depending on the expectations of the summoner..
Personality
Konrad The Lightning was once a Knight, he served church and family, broke no oath and through his skill with arms defended the vassals of his Liege Lord. A proud man of the world, he could ride, fight and did often sing around the table or fire. He could not read nor write, and considered these things unmanly. Those above him in rank were there by right and the peasants naturally were below. He was not a bad man, or an oppressive man. These are the way things were in his time. For his services he was paid the princely sum of a whole eight silver pennies a day, save for his services in feudal duty. All in all he was happy with his lot in life. Except for the part where he drowned.
Bound to the Pendant he lives his life only when released by the wearer, the accord written into his blood granting him phenomenal power at arms. He accepts his nightmarish fate with stoic resole. Believing himself to be cursed, he constantly worries about his standing in the eyes of God. He fears the taint of the black arts on his soul but will not shy from using the power they grant him. He is aware that calling him forth imprisons the summoner inside the amulet while he is manifest, and is aware that calling him costs them some of their own precious life. This burden weighs heavily upon him, and he feels a deep shame that he is proud of their need for him.
Piotr
Jeans and a T-Shirt. Not the sort you'd expect to be the wielder of such an artifact as the Piast Amulet, but this is what he wears most of the time. Piotr, who often calls himself Peter, considers himself a student of the arcane, a dabbler in the occult. Having finally been granted the Amulet by his ailing Uncle, he set out to follow his Uncle's example. To use Konrad in the manner he was meant to be used.
Piotr's less obvious objective is to find a way to release Konrad from the Amulet.
