Lady Kaimuki
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
OOC Notes: Alright first I have a few things I feel I should mention about Kaimuki. I am completely comfortable rping her as the slave she is. Yeah, she is an unwilling one, but please don't play off the whole "rescue the princess" bit. It really gets boring when that's all I get. Secondly, I apologize if you or your character gets offended by the whole slave thing. I set her up this way, and I likes it. Also note Kaimuki is a FenNec Crossbreed. This is a race I made up myself a long time ago, it is copyrighted to ~@Akkai. For her, all you should note is that she has red fox ears, and a fox tail. She does not share the forms of normal FenNecs.

History
Kaimuki grew up not knowing too much about the world around her. She lived a very sheltered life with her mother in Siren's Call, content to just follow her mother's guidance. After she turned sixteen, one day her mother told her that she was going down to the store and pick up a few things for her new baby sister. Kaimuki, who was contentedly folding her $5 allowance into a small flower, waved her off with a casual goodbye. Hours later, and still no sign of her mother or sister, Kaimuki decided to go look for them.
Enter the Shadows
Another hour passed, and the stores were all closed now. There was still no sign of either of them. The sun was setting, and it was starting to grow dark. It was then, when the sun kissed the horizon, that Kaimuki found her mother. She knelt down in the shadow filled alleyway, cradling her mother's limp and broken form. There was no emotion at first, only a cold and bitter numbing sensation that wrapped itself around her heart and held it there. She forgot completely about the little sister that was still unaccounted for. The cops didn't seem to be too far behind in her discovery, and soon red and blue lights danced themselves off the walls. They asked her questions, things she didn't know how to answer. There was nothing but shadows around her, enveloping her. The sight of her poor mother with claw streaks across her terror filled face. It was all she could focus on.. Finally, with the cold snap of handcuffs around her wrist did she come to in the back of the cop car. The said everything would be ok, and that they just wanted to take her down to the station to ask her some more questions. Questions.. there would be only one. Why?
The Trial
They kept her there for what seemed like days, having no witnesses, no clues to go off of. Finally it seemed the feds had some sort of breakthrough. They held a fancy trial of some man that Kaimuki had never seen before. Long black demon wings, reddish hair.. but what startled her is he had the same eyes she did. None the less the trial went on, lawyer against lawyer, they argued point against point. It seems money pays off.. Kaimuki, wrestling and screaming, was hauled off to the Zig. Convicted of First Degree Murder of her own mother.
The Zig
Four years.. That may not seem like a very long time for some, but for those in captivity, four years can be eternity. Kaimuki definitely felt this way. Each day she would wait patiently for her food, eat this, and then put it back, just to wait again. Each night, in the shadows of her cell she would recall that horrible scene. She would hold her face in her hands and begin to cry. 'Why did she have to die? Why am I in here?' Those were just a few of the questions she would ask herself each night. Over the years, in the darkness of her cell, things began to change. Her eyes became much more accustomed to the dark, seeming to give off their own slight red aura. The skin around her eyes had hardened from her crying, making an almost scale-like texture. These weren't the only changes she found either. When she concentrated enough she could move the shadows, push things into them, or pull things out. And one last thing had changed. No longer would she hold her head and weep. She had decided she would never again try to help anyone else. Instead she vowed to hurt everyone and everything.
The.. Escape?
There was one fateful day, where the alarms went off as some convict decided to try and make a run for it. This was an almost daily routine, and most convicts knew if they tried and were caught, the punishments were much more severe than if they were just to stay put. That didn't stop most of the convicts, but Kaimuki was never much of a risk taker. Still, as the alarms blazed around her she looked up to see a man enter into her cell. He wore red and black armor that hugged his skin, a cowl over his mouth, and there were small spines protruding from his shoulders and forehead. Surprised, Kaimuki stood up hesitantly and asked him what he was doing. He merely sneered in response to her "What do you think I'm doing? Don't you hear the alarms?" She nodded slightly and went to sit back down. "Heh, stupid girl," He spat out under his cowl "you'll never get out just sitting there." It dawned on her then. She wouldn't if she didn't at least try something, and here was opportunity standing at her cell door. As he turned to leave she called out for him to wait. She asked him to help her get out, and to teach her to be a real villain. She wanted revenge, she wanted to hurt to kill. She was tired of rotting in her cell day after day. With reluctance, the man agreed only if she was to do everything he ever told her... She should have stayed in her cell.
Daerem and the Collar
As the day wore on, it became completely clear that Kaimuki was now under watch. She knew his name, and she knew his face. To him, that was death to any normal being. Kaimuki did not want to die, so she vowed never to utter a word to another soul. Her thought of freedom from death, turned into weeks of trying to prove that she was worth keeping alive. On top of this, after nearly a month of freedom, Kaimuki's time in the cells began to show. Her back had sprouted tiny little bat like wings on top of her foxlike form. Her powers became highly unstable, lashing at both her enemies and her allies without warning.
Daerem would not have this. He met with her one evening after learning of her new developments, already pissed off that she hadn't come to him immediately. He always had some sort of watch over her, paranoid that she'd talk to anyone. She was after all just a stupid girl. But upon their meeting he presented her with an offer she couldn't refuse. Either she wear the collar he had created (Implying that he now completely owned her, and harness her wild demonic side at the same time) or he would kill her. He didn't need a half fenNec half demon, if it couldn't control itself. She agreed, having found no other alternative anyway.. he wouldn't ever let her go.
