Family Ties
Her mother was a mutant hero in Paragon that called herself the Bluewind Spy and her father was, oddly enough, her mother’s greatest nemesis, a hedonistic necromancer whose name she never released to anyone. Bluewind Spy managed to conceive three children by the necromancer during the course of their hateful relationship and nobody really knows why. Perhaps the passion of their battles led to…very interesting activities later on. Each time she grew pregnant, however violent and cruel he had been to her in the past, the necromancer appeared to simply vanish from the radar and mysterious gifts for the unborn child would find themselves at her doorstep without a name or clue as to their origin.
Leeha was the oldest- a child prodigy who could create anything out of everything and not make it look like a mere scrapheap. By the time she had turned 13 and started her first period, her mutation had manifested. She had her father’s ability to manipulate miasma and darkness, though through genetic evolution rather than magic.
Her younger brother is Pyro…aptly named, as he had been born with his mother’s ability to conjure fire. Despite this, he was…and still is, a raging coward.
Nina continues to show no sign of mutation. She does, however, appear to enjoy magic about as much as her father and has a peculiar interest in the control of death.
Leeha keeps only a limited contact with her sister, preferring the company of her coward of a brother despite his insistence to living in Paragon with his mother instead of in the Isles with his sisters.
Strengths and Weaknesses
She is brilliant when it comes to things like mechanics and mathematics. Her knowledge of robotics is practically unmatched. She can take any basic heap of scrap and build a functional, practical masterpiece that would rival anything professionally or factory created.
Her mother's already mutated genes further developed in Leeha's DNA when combined with the necromantic magic of her father, giving her power over the nether. She can use this power to heal herself and quickly repair her robots in addition to using it to bog down and severely hinder her enemies.
Physically, she isn't very strong. She can throw a half-decent punch, but that's about it. She depends on the things she builds to do the fighting for her while she keeps back and ensures that they remain in good working order. Without them, even with her ability to heal her own wounds, she would be in a heap of trouble.
They say with brilliance comes a shred of madness...and Leeha is no exception. Though calling her insane would be something of a stretch, Leeha tends to think and react a bit differently than others when it comes to certain things. She rarely allows herself any sleep until she's so tired that she just passes out. On the rare occasion that she willingly sleeps, she barricades herself up as tightly as she possibly can, with robotic sentries posted to protect her. It isn't that she fears the gangs and giant snakes or other villains of Mercy Island.... No, in fact her greatest fear is that Death himself will creep into her chosen resting place as she sleeps and consume her flesh before allowing her to die and taking her away to a place of infinite darkness.
This lack of sleep could also be another factor in her physical weakness.
Before Arriving in the Isles....
Leeha considers her birthplace to be a small town in Nevada known as Lycosia, though it doesn't exist anymore. She was actually taken there after being born in Paragon City to be raised by other relatives and friends of the family in secrecy and safety, but this was so early in her life that she may as well call this her hometown. The couple who raised her were distant cousins named Sally and James Rebel. The Rebels, though a peculiar and heavy-drinking family, were quite wealthy and very loving. It was only later that Leeha discovered their wealth was acquired through less-than-legal means. In his youth, James had successfully robbed a couple of banks and with careful planning and some smart investments, he and Sally had been able to retire and settle down comfortably.
Highschool was an adventure for Leeha. She began two years ahead of other girls her age, making her a twelve-year-old Freshman. Teachers were impressed; students were jealous. The students began to viciously pick on her. They did everything short of dumping pig's blood on her, though if they'd have thought of it...they might have done that, too. She had a couple of friends of little consequence. They kept her company at lunch, but otherwise had little to nothing to do with her. It was around this time that she started puberty and slowly began noticing odd things happening to her that weren't covered by Sex Ed. Light would dim when she was around. Even outside, it was as if a fog occasionally followed her around, obscuring certain things. She would sometimes wake up in the dead of night, freezing cold (even in the summer), and in a pitch black shroud. She found that, if she focused hard enough, she could bring the light back and harness that shroud into a rope of nether energy around her fingers. Having discovered this, Leeha decided that Sophomore year would be MUCH different than the year before....
The resulting slaughter landed her in the Juvenile section of the Zig, to be transfered to the Maximum security area when she turned 18.
Trivia
- Leeha has an interesting obsession with snakes. Nobody's quite sure why. She has a tattoo of a small, yellow snake coiling up her left ankle.
- She always smells like motor oil, even when she's had a bath and tried to cover the scent with vanilla perfume.
- Is a millionare. ...nobody really knows where the Hell all that money is.
OOC Notes
Leeha's actually a character I came up with LONG long ago, when I was about twelve and just starting out with RP. I did chatroom RP and took her through AOL, Lycos, and AT&T until I hit 19 and AT&T seemed to just kind of...disband with the input of a new chatroom system. By then, my interest in chatroom RP had really faded. The people who played her brother and sister went away and I had no real intention of playing her anymore, so I set her on a shelf and went on to other things. Now that I've been playing CoV for a little while, I figured I'd revamp her, clean her up a bit, and give her a new past to see how she does in the Rogue Isles. I figure I owe her that much, since she was my first real RP character ever. This article about a character is a stub -- a small, but growing, work in progress.
