Character History
In her own words:
Hi, I'm Lexi Benedict. My daddy bought me this totally cool sword while he was in China on business, because he knew I was in self-defense classes and I've been doing really well. Turns out, they're magic. I KNOW, RIGHT??? So anyway, then I was sitting in class one day with my friend Cynthia, and I told her all about the sword, and then she told me that she just got some powers too. I'm like, ohmigod are you joking?! Then she tells me she's been hanging around with these super heroes and they've been teaching her stuff and that I can come too. So now I'm like, totally in a super group with her and we have all sorts of crazy adventures. I even got my own code name. I wanted a cool one, but they told me it had to be breakfasty. What. Ever.
Alexis Benedict is the only child of an elusive mega-financier and sole heir to his vast fortune. Despite her notoriety as one of Paragon City's spoiled elite, little is known about her family or civilian background. When seen in public, Legs is either glamming it up at red carpet events or in costume fighting crime throughout the city. She maintains a very private life, which leads many to speculate that her public persona of "Legs" is in fact a very different beast from the Alexis known to her close friends and family. Perhaps it's the nature of growing up wealthy and famous that taught Alexis to create such distinction between these two selves, though much more likely is the notion that she just really likes to act out in an outrageous fashion in order to secure her notoriety and ensure those celebrity gift bags keep coming.

Personality
She's beautiful, and she knows it. Legs is an attention-starved rich girl, She's easy on the eyes, and rumored to be easy in the sheets. Never at a loss for words, Legs' tongue has gotten her into more trouble than you ever thought possible. And, usually, she relies on her katana blade to get her out of it. As her teammates well know, those snide verbal jabs and petty insults are frequently betrayed by her heart of gold. Unlike her celebutante contemporaries, Legs is always willing to sacrifice her life and hear wealth for the greater good. Just don't let her know that you know, ya know?
Powers
Legs' powers are entirely dependent on the magic-infused katana blade she wields. Its origins are unknown and its power is formidable. The sword imbues its possessor with the ability to react to one's environment with superhuman acumen. Legs has said that when she's in battle, she actually sees her environment "slow down," not only enabling her to anticipate and avoid most attacks, but to time and aim her own attacks with deadly precision. Had she seen the film "The Matrix", Legs would probably recognize the "bullet-time" powers the protagonist, Neo, develops (however, Legs would never watch a science fiction movie). It's not yet known if the sword grants her the ability to slow time, or rather if it allows her to move faster than her friends and enemies.
Additional Powers
It's a common assumption that Legs runs at superhuman speeds, but she claims it's simply not true. As in battle, Legs seems to be able to slow time with her sword. Thus, concerning her super speed, from Legs' perspective she runs at a normal speed whereas everyone else sees her flash past in the blink of an eye. It's through this same principle, and months of training, that Legs has learned to use this power to heal herself and recover her endurance more rapidly than her peers. Recently, during a battle with Sky Raiders, Legs recovered a key element of one of their teleportation packs. Using her father's wealth and access to the scientific community, she commissioned the creation of a device that allows her to pull her teammates through time and space, effectively teleporting them. This is accomplished by distributing a homing beacon to each of her teammates. She also has access to a small arsenal of various prototype weapons she's collected during her time in the field.

Legs Benedict requires very little to do what she does best. Along with her mystic katana blade, Legs is known to always carry the following:
