October 15th, 2011 PPD Police Report
Reporting Officer: Detective Freitag
Details of Event: Received a radio call from dispatch at 1900 hrs. indicating that a body had been found in King's Row. Made contact with witness [NAME REDACTED] at scene. Location was a drainage retention pond in the 800 block of Wayland street. No body present. Witness reports having seen the body floating face down in the pond for at least fifteen minutes. Turned away to call law enforcement - when she looked back, the body was gone. I suspect witness may have seen floating debris and mistaken it for a body. Will consider matter closed for the time being.
