Personality

Alex LaLaine never had it good in life. Born in the slums of Liverpool, his mother dead five months after he was born, and having to put up with his abusive alcoholic father, he has a very negative outlook on life, and is pissed most of the time. When alone, he becomes very depressed and usually drowns all his sorrows in alcohol. He's found that smoking cigarettes will keep him content for a few hours and tends to smoke a few before going out to socialize or do team missions.

Character History

Alex was born in the slums of Liverpool to Wallace and Carolyn LaLaine. Five months after he was born, his mother had died of drug overdose, leaving him and his older sister, Gloria, in the care of their father, Wallace. Wallace, depressed about his spouse's death, looked to alcohol for love, which lead him to beating his children. Things were tight for the family, as Gloria was dying of an illness and needed an operation. A now teenaged Alex had to take up jobs, such as drug dealing to support his family. One day, while stashing the money he made on the streets, Alex decided to hide his hard earned cash in his mother's closet. Once he looked inside, he was amazed by all the beautiful dresses and make-up his mother had. Curiously, he had put on one of the dresses and applied the make-up, and admired how he looked and loved the feeling of dressing up as a woman. Not wanting to face the wrath of his father for dressing up as the woman he loved, he quickly took off the dress, washed off make-up, and left to the streets to keep working. Hours later, Alex had returned home and was horrified of what he saw. His sister, Gloria, lying in bed with a gunshot wound to her head, and his father lying dead on the floor, with gun and beer bottle in hand.

Months later, after trying to get over the death of his family, Alex continued to experiment crossdressing with his mother's clothing. Alex loved every minute of being a woman, yet not wanting to be questioned because of it, Alex looked onto the glamrock scene. Intrigued by how the people had loved the bands, despite them crossdressing, Alex decided to take a crack of it as well and took guitar and singing lessons. A year later, Alex and a few high school friends had formed the glamrock band, 'The Harley Quinns.'

The band had gotten international success and toured world wide. With success going to his head, Alex had ignored the advice his bandmates and manager were giving him, as he constantly partied and lived the stereotypical rockstar life. Sex, Drugs, and Rock 'n' Roll! Because of all of this, Alex was kicked out of the band. Unemployed and having little success regaining his fame, Alex looked to prostitution for money. Still crossdressing, Alex would attract the attention of male and females, Alex offered sexual intercourse...for the right price.

One day, Alex, who at the time was heavily intoxicated, tried seducing a sciencetist in a local pub. The sciencetist, who was quite concerned about Alex, had rejected his sexual advances and offered his help. Alex, never seeing so much kindness in his entire life, broke down in tears, ran to the bathroom, flushed all his drugs down the toilet, then accepted the sciencetist's offer. With heroes popping all about in Paragon City, the sciencetist suggested that Alex turn his life around and become a superhero. Alex had agreed and the sciencetist had injected him with a special serum that granted him the power to make any illusion that comes to Alex's mind real.

Now in Paragon City, Rhode Island, Alex got himself a hero's license, started an illusionized glamrock band called "Gender + Confusion.", and took the mantle as Paragon City's first crossdressing superhero, Lexi Lane!

Powers

Illusion Control

Alex first tested the power of illusion when he moved to Paragon City. In his hotel room, he had remembered the good old days when he was in a glamrock band, and was amazed to see a whole band appear right infront of him. Alex has since then used this power to fight crime by day and rock out by night.

Weather Control

Controlling the weather is another power gained, thanks to Alex's illusion power. When in battle, Alex can think up of any natural disaster and use it against his enemies.

Weaknesses

Even though Alex has superpowers, he's still human, meaning he can easily be harmed by firearms and melee weapons. He uses his illusion powers to build a barrier around him to protect him from such, yet is still quite vulnerable to any attack.

Alex also becomes very distracted and pissed when he doesn't get his daily cigarette.

Orientation

Usually, the most frequently asked question about Alex is his sexuality. Since he crossdresses, people assume that he's homosexual, when in fact, Alex is straight and just enjoys dressing up like woman, but not desiring to be one. However, when Alex gotten himself into prostitution, he gave his services to both gender. Alex claims that charging to both was just for the money, but not based on gender.
