Lombardia
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
History
The sister of Rogue Isles villain Aliya, in the sense that they both have genetic data from the same male "parent". Lombardia has a completely different attitude. While Aliya tends to imitate Sister Psyche's "Mind-Riding" and is something of a prude, Lombardia is friendly and enjoys her own body way too much. She dances nightly at Supermoves, a gentleman's club located in Founder's Falls, and enjoys a relationship with a Claw Scrapper named Vandayinu.
Created by Takahiro Hirada, Japanese self-taught scientist living in an isolated underground lab beneath Japan Aliya and Lombardia are part of the ALETH series, a race of artificial beings created without required systems such as respiratory and digestive tracts.
Several years after the creation of the ALETHs, sometime in the late 70s, a Fifth Column Teleportation experiment failed miserably, depositing 11 out of the 20 soldiers sent through into solid rock or several meters into the air, and sending the remaining 9 into various parts of Takahiro's lab instead of the intended destination of New York. Were it not for the curiosity of Lombardia and her siblings, they wouldn't have been caught in the recall field and brought back to Fifth Column home base. Not letting a chance for improved supersoldiers slip by, the higher-ups decided to see if they could figure out how these new beings could exist, and if they could be "convinced" to fight for the Column. Even after months of testing and training, absolutely no progress was made, and the Aleths all spontaneously "died".
Were they not such a unique find, the Aleths likely would've been destroyed. Instead, they were put into storage to gather dust and be forgotten for a couple of decades until a squad of Arachnos Widows on a raid unintentionally revived them with their psychic emanations. Aliya was sent to the Isles and eventually hired as a Widow, while Lombardia and the other 7 Aleths escaped, the former turning up in Paragon City, while the latter scattered themselves across the world.
Racial traits
While she may appear completely human(and thanks to some magical tampering, feels like one too), Lombardia is far from it. Created without a respiratory, circulatory, or digestive system, she doesn't need to eat, sleep, or even breathe, absorbing nutrients directly from the air to support her body's demands. Aside from those few details, she looks like an average Japanese woman, though somewhat on the pale side.
