Near Precint 4, between The Liquor Picker and a bridge is The Gilded Cage. The four story building has a view of the river from each of its floors. The lower two floors are your standard bar/club with two full bars, a small menu of hotwings and such and flat screen TVs. The second floor is a little more risque, with a handful of dancers and poles around the room. The top floor -called The Nest by the patrons- is the VIP lounge. Accessible only with a VIP pass, The Nest offers not only a full bar, but a kitchen that caters to whatever its members would dream to eat. Each table has a clear view of either the runway and poles or one of the four gold cages that really give the place its name.
Though it is more popular during the evening and late night, The Gilded Cage is open seven days a week from one p.m. to six in the morning. Owned by a rather respectable and loyal man named Emerson Grant, it boasts a roster of thirty women. At any given time, there are four women on the second and third floors and ten in The Nest. Besides that, each shift is sure to have twelve bartenders, seven chefs and a handful of other employees.
One of the women in The Nest - and sometimes bartending - is a striking raven haired woman. Asking the right questions would give you one of two names. Lena or Loveshock.
Years ago, Praetoria had a heroine named Voltara. Tall, leggy, and adored by the people, Voltara had the ability to shock her enemies with electricity. She was no less loved in her private life. Constance Elera was a favorite pediatrician to families with 'exceptional children'. And a favorite to men. She dated one after another, then finally settled on James Trachis. Constance had decided early on that she would not marry anyone who was not a mutant like herself, and though it was nothing extraordinary as far as mutations go (her ego would possibly not have allowed her to be with someone who could outshine her), he possessed the startling capability for perfect recall and eidetic memory, but to a degree that trumped those with it as a natural skill.
They had a whirlwind romance, marrying only ten months after the first date, and within the next year, Constance was pregnant. Early tests showed that the infant, a girl, would carry her mother's genetic markings for electrical control while having an appearance that was a beautiful combination of both James and Constance. She was named Lena Chelsea Trachis.
The child was given everything she asked for and then some, her parents ever doting. Constance, for her part, made sure that the child was exposed to the public. Voltara's daughter would be expected to follow in her mother's footsteps, and to serve the Emperor with her exceptional abilities. Though James never pushed the issue, preferring Lena to be a sweet funloving child, Constance did not hide the fact that she felt mutants --a horrible term in her mind-- to be superior to the normal human. They were gifted with special abilities, obviously evolution did that for a reason, and they should be celebrated as the next tier of able humanity. Lena came into her powers early on, shorting out the family's television at the age of three.
Constance was thrilled and began teaching the dark-haired beauty how to control her gift. She would be a Powers Division star, her mother would see to that. She taught the girl daily - controlling and manipulating her powers and nudging Lena toward the limelight.
So much so, that when she turned ten, Lena made her Powers Division debut as Loveshock.
The Resistance had broken into a storage unit owned by an sub-company of Neuron's. Rumor had it that several higher ranking Resistance members would be returning to complete the theft. Voltara accepted the task of dealing justice to these wayward men and women, and decided it would be a good day to take Lena out on the job. Decked out in a costume comprised of boots, spandex, and gloves in varying shades of pink, Loveshock accompanied Voltara to the storage facility.
Within half an hour, the duo had subdued then ten men within the building. An hour after that, the story was broadcast on TPN, and Loveshock began her ascent to the limelight. She had the looks and abilities of a current Praetorian darling, and would no doubt become a star of the next generation.

Playing well with others...
Dun dun DUNNN.
Tall and definitely curvy, Loveshock is a mixture of Greek and Irish ancestry. With long black hair and bright blue eyes setting off her pale skin, she is bound to catch an eye here or there. She stands at roughly five foot ten, possibly more. It is obvious that she keeps herself in shape, her muscles toned and minimal fat on her frame.
Lena tends to dress in tight and somewhat revealing clothing, though this should not indicate that she is easy or a whore. She prefers the contrast of bright colors and black, though she has been known to wear white on occasion.
Like any normal person, Lena's personality is not a simple "Oh, she's happy go lucky!" Lena has an often playful attitude, sometimes teasingly so. Not usually one to shy from social interaction, she will snark and sass and laugh along with someone who catches her attention. She does, however have a bit of a temper. She won't take to being threatened, stalked or creeped on... This has led to several issues with the Praetorian police. With eight different charges of vandalism, harrassment and conduct having been brought against her (and all but one ultimately dropped thanks to her connections), she's somewhat well known.
Lena was born with a genetic mutation that allowed her to sense, draw and manipulate the electricity around her. Her mother helped her to hone her skills, teaching her to use it not only when attempting to hit someone, but to surround herself in a field. Being so highly attuned to it, Lena is able to use this field to keep herself energized and to drain the energy from her enemies.
Lena is also able to surround her enemies in cages of electricity, trapping them in place. Studies and training from her mother taught her to also set a discharge of electricity keyed so that it would react with the brain of anyone who passed through the field, knocking them into sleep.
Thanks to her powers, Lena is also not that weak to being shocked.
Lena is human. A mutant, but human nonetheless. Bones can be broken. Illnesses caught. She does what she can to avoid these, but they are possible. Her mind is not totally vulnerable, having been taught a trick by her mother. Anyone attempting to read her mind would find a perfect black box with no seams or cracks. There is a trick to getting into it, but it won't be given away too easily. Once in, she would have little in the way of mental defenses.
While she is not, herself, electricity, if she were to draw too much of it into herself while exposed to water for a long time, she would in effect overload and crash. She tends to not fight while swimming for this reason.
- Dan - Lena met Dan on what she thought would be a dull visit to Pocket D. Instead, the moment he saw her, he jokingly proposed, having entered a pseudo-bet with another guy in the room that he could be turned down ten times that night. After refusing him, she leaned against him and they began to talk. They soon began a relationship, and she plans to leave Praetoria and move in with him. Anyone who asks about him would be given a happy smile and the declaration that he belongs to her, and she doesn't share. Lena's rather in love with him.
- Rax, Stasie, and a couple others. Women seem to be drawn to Dan, and Lena can't exactly blame them. He's a sweet, handsome, nice man. Several of the women he talks to work in the same line of work that Lena herself does. She so far finds them nice to talk to, though if they push too far along the lines of flirting with Dan, she might change her mind. She's made it clear she doesn't share though, and doesn't forsee anything happening. Besides that... she trusts Dan.
- So far, there aren't really any people permanently on this list.
- Lena had a huge chocolate lab named Beuller. He's big and dopey, but she'd not have him any other way.
- Lena has a tattoo in the small of her back. A red heart with electricity stretching from the sides like wings. Two of the forks of electricity stretch toward her hips, a total of sixteen inches wide. The heart being roughly three inches and the 'wings' spanning at eight.
- Lena is not a big fan of roses, preferring the lush full blossom of a peony.
