Malina Raghuvir started her super-powered career as apprentice to Madam Miasma, a powerful mystic and heroine. Mist, however, was one of the many who fell during the Rickti invasion, and her protege's training was cut off, far from complete. Although she contemplated taking up a normal civilian life, Malina eventually chose to continue in her mentor's footsteps, becoming the new Madam Miasma. Of course, her magical abilities are still far less complete then those of her namesake, and as such, she's been forced to improvise. While the original Madam Miasma had nearly flawless control over fire and smoke, Malina's abilities are more limited, and she's been forced to augment them with a bit of modern technology.
The new Madam Miasma carries a pair of specially constructed pistols, firing rubber bullets propelled by incence-laced gunpowder. Her abilities allow her to 'push' the bullets even after leaving the gun, giving her near-flawless aim, and she's capable of using the resulting smoke to form a protective shield around herself, and occasionally even to creat simple constructs.
