Personality

Kenzie is a very passionate woman, almost to a fault. She has a strong moral fibre and personal code, believing that loyalty, truth, and justice are the most important things in the world. She often takes others' burdens upon herself, doing her best to help others in need and protect the people she cares for.

Powers

Enhanced Strength

As a result of her mutation Kenzie's muscles are incredibly powerful, despite being no denser than those of other women of her size and build. While her physical strength in no way comes close to superhuman, she's able to perform acts of physical prowess that are well close to being beyond humanly possible.

Super Reflexes

Kenzie's reflexes are incredibly fast, making her instinct a keen tool. She often avoids blows before they come close to landing, and even low level speedsters have had issues making physical contact.

Intuition

Kenzie's mental acuity was also affected by her mutation. She thinks in a non-linear fashion, able to quickly come to a conclusion based on minimal information or in rare cases, none at all. She's also able to read body language, which compounded with her enhanced senses makes her all but impossible to lie to.

Enhanced Senses

Kenzie's senses of sight, touch, and smell are all heightened to superhuman levels. She has 20/5 vision, and an apparent ability to actually zoom-in on details from afar much like a camera lense, or zoom out if she needs to be closer. Her sense of smell is so acute she can detect the slightest variation in body chemistry from one person to the next, and she's been known to use her sense of touch to assess a person's vitals with just a brush of her fingertips.

Origin

MacKenzie lived a normal life, until the day she turned eighteen. To pay for her university tuition and serve her country, she enlisted in the US Marine Corps.

The first day of basic training was when her mutation first became noticable, when a fellow recruit tried to sneak up on her. Before the word 'boo' was even out of his mouth, he found himself lying on his back, having been thrown clear over Kenzie's shoulder reflexively. From that day on it became more and more apparent that she was special.

Her sparring partners complained that she was untouchable, and she frequently overpowered men twice her bodyweight without breaking a sweat despite her petite stature. After a full battery of tests she was diagnosed with a genetic mutation, and transfered to another program to hone her specific talents.

When her training was completed she was stationed in Paragon, told to blend in with the other supers. Complying with her orders she adopted the guise of Mantis Lass, combining her marine weapon and combat training with her innate abilities to defend those innocents too weak to protect themselves.
