Michoas (pronounced roughly "MEEKH-oh-ahss", although he will respond even to bad mispronounciations) is an angel of war who lost most of his power due to a mistake which he usually prefers not to talk about. He is working as a hero in Paragon City in order to atone for his mistake and to develop the powers which he still has.

Affiliations
Member of The Reciprocators. Also loyal to his angelic army, although he is not actively involved with them at the moment.
Personality
Michoas tends to be quiet and in some ways cautious. As a result, he may give a first impression of being timid, but he actually has a strong desire to battle against evil and is willing to put himself at risk in order to defeat evildoers or to protect innocent people and his fellow warriors. He is exceptionally polite and generous and will not think twice before helping others, even when he gets no personal benefit from it.
Powers
Michoas has a certain amount of power over the minds and bodies of nearby sentient beings. He was once exceptionally good at using these powers destructively, but he has since lost that ability. He now uses his power to heal and inspire his allies and to perplex his enemies.
His powers can be applied to any being with a minimum level of self-awareness, even zombies and robots. His powers depend on his target's idea of self; since most people consider their clothing and equipment to be practically a part of themselves, he is able to affect those things to a limited degree.
Power over the mind: Illusion Control, Leadership
Michoas is able to alter the minds of sentient beings.
His primary modes of defeating enemies are to make them believe that they have been seriously injured, or to remove their ability to tell friends from foes so that they attack each other.
He is also starting to learn how to use this power to assist his allies. He is able to free their minds from negative influences, and can impart some of the knowledge of battle he has gained from seven thousand years of fighting demons and devils.
Power over the body: Empathy
Michoas is able to heal or repair anything that a sentient being considers to be a part of itself. He can even revive a sentient being from the point of death or destruction.
Standard angelic powers: Flight, Fitness
As an angel, Michoas is immortal; he does not age and is nearly impossible to truly destroy. Although he lost the power of flight for a time, he has regained it; his wings, which he lost and has only recently regained, are not actually necessary for flight. He also recovers from injury and weariness faster than most human beings.
Equipment
Michoas prefers to use the bare minimum amount of equipment necessary. He almost never uses any equipment other than the standard-issue hero radio, which he needs in order to communicate at long distances.
Character History
Michoas was created several millennia ago as an angel of war. He became quite powerful, almost as powerful as Archangel Michaeyl the Champion, and earned the appellation Michoas the Destroyer.
However, he eventually made a serious mistake, which he generally prefers to avoid discussing, as the memory is painful to him. On the seven thousandth anniversary of his creation, his mistake was made apparent to him, and this caused him to lose almost all of his power. He was no longer able to fly, his sense of sight was severely clouded, and he became completely unable to cause direct harm to others. He changed his appellation to Michoas the Penitent and came to Paragon City to atone for his mistake and to learn how to use his powers to do things other than cause harm.
He has since regained the power of flight, his vision has returned to normal, and he has greatly increased his power as a healer, but he does not think he will ever be able to harm others again.
Trivia
Michoas's physical appearance, including his clothing, is a physical projection of his state of mind. It is, however, still physical and vulnerable to physical attack.
Occasionally, Michoas refers to "the King"; this means the deity Jehu, which his angelic army serves.
