Midnight's Malice was a man trapped in paranoia. He has changed, however, into a man of confadence and perhaps arogance.

In the beginning...
Dr. Brinston, one of the head scientific minds of the Council and co-creator of the super soldier syrum, has always looked for new ways to improve upon the Council's soldiers. However, after a close brush with a force of heroes, he was forced into hideing for many years. During those years, he created syrum after syrum that he belived would aid the Council. Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of these experimental syrums were created before enough time had passed for Dr. Brinston to be able to test them. Dr. Brinston was impatient to start testing, and rather than go though the lenghy task of gathering volentiers, or kidnapping hapless subjects, he decided to go with a far more radical aproach. Clones. Clones, he firmly belived, were the best kind of subjects: they are all the same, you can get them at a young age (something required for more than a third of the syrums), and you can produce them without a slew of missing person reports. Dr. Brinston quickly "whipped up" a batch of 100 Brinston clones, and immediately began to subject them to his syrums. Many died on the day of injection, and quite a few followed after. When it was all over, thirty five remained. Thrilled with the results, Dr. Brinston began testing the clones to thier limits. After seven years of rigorous, and inhuman testing, Dr. Brinston began to create annother batch, this time of a thousand clones. His plans where flawed, however, and the colosal ammount of energy Dr. Brinston used to power one thousand cloneing vats attracted the attention of several heroes. Soon, a large force of heroes stormed the secret bace, takeing Dr. Brinston into custody, and rescueing the twenty seven clone test subjects that had survived the testing. They overlooked one clone, however.
"Childhood"
Midnight's syrum gave him the ability to create coppies of himself. This syrum was one of Dr. Brinston's personal favorates, and, as such, Midnight was subject to even more testing than the other clones. He quickly became secluded and secretive, unwilling to show even the slightest bit of progress as this would always result in even more extreme testing. Midnight neglected any social interaction. He often plotted escape plans, just like the other clones, but would often steal resources from them. Once, he was caught red handed by annother clone, a fight ensued ending with Midnight killing the other clone. He was subjected to even more testing as punishment, and was fed half rations for several months. During the day of the rescue, Midnight, walking to bed after testing, was attacked by annother clone (named afterward as Jason Prat). Jason, wanting revenge, stabbed Midnight in the cest with a pice of jagged metal. And shoved the body under a bunk. Midnight survived.
After "Childhood"
His years after the rescue where spent in orphanages, where he quickly assumed top dog position useing his cloneing ability. He was always able to provide an airtight allibi, being one of the few people able to literaly be in two places at once. After he turned eighteen, he "dropped off the map" and did not reappear untill recently. He has been traied in the arts of ninjitsu, and has picked up a few fire spells. Who taught him this and why still remains a mystery. In his new life of crime, his trademarks are no witnesses, and no security footage. Only arrows, shuriken, and broken bodies remain.
The Supreme Society
After learning that Jason Prat (Also known as Diamond's Ace), was recruited in the Global Guard, Midnight quickly joined the Supreme society as a temporary member, leaveing as soon as Ace was eliminated. However, as he began to battle the Guard, he quickly became frustrated with them, and signed on for a longer term, untill the destruction of the entire Guard.
Return of Doctor Brinston
Dr. Brinston was broken out of prison by the council, and immediately began work on recaptureing the clone test subjects. After a group of mercinaries attacked the Society bace (and were blasted by bace defences), one of the members sabotaged Dr. Brinston's tracking methods, and Midnight was placed in a cell for protection for two few months. After the two months, Midnight devised a plan to destroy Dr. Brinston once and for all. He gathered all the powered clones (including Diamond's Ace) and they made a stand aginst Brinston with the society as backup. Dr. Brinston, however, had an "ace up his sleve", and filled the building with an anti-serum gas that detroyed all the powers of the clones. The Society, however, ended up fending off the council forces, and fought the doctor himself. After a brief battle, Dr. Brinston activated a teleporter to transport himself directly to his lab. He was tackled by Midnight at the same time he teleported, and they both where taken away to his lab were niether of them were heard from again, untill Midnight returned. He claimed victory, and brought Brinston's body as proof.
Personality
Midnight was a very secerative and sirous person. After his battle with Dr. Brinston, however, he has become far more easy going, and perhaps even a little insane.
Powers
Midnight used to have the power to create clones of himself, useing a fine, black, sandlike, substance. This was lost when he was subjected to the anti-serum however. He now uses fire magic, and although he did know some magic before the fight with Brinson, he has now misteriously, and exponentialy, grown in power sence then.
The Truth Behind Dr. Brinston's Demise
After teleporting to Dr. Brinston's lab, the fight between him and Midnight ended quickly. Midnight was soon incapacitated, and locked up into a cell, bound and powerless. There where quite a few others in the cells used as test subjects for Brinston's new experements. One such subject was a Hellion by the name of Mattew Cross. Mat was one of the "top notch" Hellion Damed, due to being empowered by a demon (who calls himself Thanatos). This demon quickly saw, however, that Midnight was a far better cannodate for his powers, given his slight expiriance with fire magic, and the rage that was burning inside of him. Thanatos quickly left Cross, and made a pact with Midnight: Midnight gets the powers, Thanatos gets the souls. Midnight, now empowered with the demonic magic of Thanatos, freed himself, killed Brinston, and all the other Council operatives. He has now created his own small organization headed by clones of himself (called the SIN organization). The prisoners were the first members.
