Backstory

Almost nothing is known of Abigail before she donned the name Miss Misfit. She was born, she was raised, she went to school and did all sorts of normal things. Three things, however, stand out from the rest of her otherwise complacent former life: Her mother killing her father with a blowdrier, her and her father's love for the circus and all of its trappings, and her sacrificing a portion of her mind to Chaos.

Powers

Fire Element

Miss Misfit is a mutant, born with extraordinary abilities. One of these is her affinity with fire. Her flesh and hair are almost the exact opposite of flame retardant, indeed, her flesh and hair are extremely flammable and seem to draw in other sources of flame, whether Misfit wants to be a walking conflagaration at the moment or not. Through the years, she's grown a passive resistance to fire directed at her.

Earth Element

Another of her mutant abilities is fine control over the element of earth. Specifically, Misfit can draw in ambient dirt and dust in her environment for a variety of offensive maneuvers. She can send a small 360 degree wave of dirt or dust to knock foes flat on their backs and cover her hands with thick, heavy gauntlets for punching. Her favorite by far, though, is forming this element into different large mallets. Recently, she's learned to gather this element on her person, covering herself with a sort of crust. While this offers no protection just yet, she seems to enjoy the intimidating factor this engenders in those that would do her harm.

Athleticism

Miss Misfit has an uncanny degree of metahuman reflexes, agility, balance, and athleticism. Since she has spent nearly a decade in and out of various circus troupes and freakshow acts, its assumed that this is a relatively recent mutation, boosting her already considerable natural skills in those fields. She is able to leap over buildings and virtually soar through the air, balance herself on a toothpick, and contort herself to fit neatly (though uncomfortably) in nothing smaller than a 1.5x1.5 x2.0 foot cube.

Hammerspace

Though not a power in the traditional sense, her ability to summon objects, what she calls using Hammerspace (named for the humorous fictional physics used in cartoons to explain where characters draw things out of nowhere or hide behind very thin objects) is undeniably unnatural. When asked, she will state that she was gifted this ability by Entropy itself in exchange for a fraction of her mind. What this means is, as of yet, unclear. She remarks that she isnt a master of it by any means, though she's more than a mere dabbler. She pulls objects from out of her top, seemingly needing a focal point to draw things from, instead of "out of thin air". She remarks these objects must be inanimate and of no more mass than herself.

Personality

Misfit is normally a very agreeable, very happy person. As a certified clown, she delights in making others laugh and entertaining people to the best of her ability. She has a certain soft spot for kids and has been known to go to great lengths to ensure their happiness and safety. She posesses, however,a strong anger streak and offends quite easily. She dislikes "emo people" because theyre grumpy, she dislikes violent, sadistic clowns because she feels they spit in the face of clownings great and harrowed ancient history, people who dislike clowns for...obvious reasons.

Madness

Apparently, her story of sacrificing a portion of her mind is true. Miss Misfit is actually and honestly, mildly insane. Specifically, this madness manifests itself in her going comatose from time to time (catatonia)even while speaking or engaged in strenuous activity, her irrational anger at being insulted herself or recieving an insult about clowns and partial amnesia. She is sane enough to know she's somewhat insane, so she plays this up a bit and combines it with her otherwise random clownish activities.

Clowning

Miss Misfit takes great pride in being a clown. If asked, she will play up the rich history of clowns, seeing them and herself as the sole reason why the entire universe doesnt slide into a depressing swamp of bored complacency. Her love of clowning is also, to make a pun, skin-deep: She never wears makeup at all, the colorful patterns on her face are actually tattoos.

Humorotica

Miss Misfit has combined her love of sex, entertainment, and clowning into an artform she calls Humorotica. While Humorotica bares a strong resemblance to garden variety pornography, she is quick to point out that it is art, more akin to burlesque, and anything BUT pornography. Seeing a trend in modern day adult entertainment, she decided to inject some humor, comedy, and wackiness to the medium. A person gets their first taste of the difference once browsing through the seven titles she has so far released:

Miss Misfit™ (produced by Rogue Entertainment)

Clown High™ (produced by Rogue Entertainment)

Miss Misfit Does Michigan!™

Midget Madness!!™

Balloon Animal™

In The Mountains of Misfit™

Miss Misfit and the Deathly Swallows™

The first two releases were produced by her former "supergroup", Rogue Entertainment. She split with them over artistic reasons, though the seperation was on amicable terms. The last five have been self produced along with an unnamed distributor. These five are a great deal more wacky and entertaining than the first two, one can clearly see a difference in the mood once Misfit helmed her own plane, so to speak.

So far she has gathered a small but vocal group of fans dedicated to her art, which she cherishes deeply. Since her art is somewhat difficult to market on a mainstream basis, her fame is somewhat limited, though she says that suits her just fine.

The Eighth Film

Miss Misfit is currently in the early stages of her upcoming eighth feature, which she intends to be a murder/mystery.
