A life carefree
She's had a pretty normal life. Active since she was a kid she loves sports, preferring outdoor but indoor being acceptable if nothing else was around.
Family
Parents. Grandparents. Brother. All of them nearby and there for each other. Not much negative here.
Aspirations
She wanted to work with kids. College. Graduate. Career and have a family. Keeping sports as one of her focuses it became a part of her goal. Physical Education teacher. Perfect.
Sorority life
College was fun for her. Friendly and likable she had plenty of friends. Joining a sorority seemed the right thing to do. So she did and she fit, her laughter ringing all around.
Man of her Dreams
A simple guy. Math geek. Friend and confidante who got to know the sorority girl. One thing led to another and the pair became inseparable. Eventually he proposed and she said yes.
Things change
Don't they always?
A prank with consequences
Her sorority went about doing what they do. Pranks. Sneaking in where they shouldn't have been. And then.. the accident. Chemicals falling where they shouldn't. Lots of pain and time spent in the hospital. She was blind. Purely blind but not for long. A sense of something began to make itself known. Outlines of objects but... not people. She could see what they held in their hands but nothing else. Instead she could see their Energy Color. Not something based on chi or aura or emotions or something deep. Just something unique like a signature all their own. Beyond that there seemed to be something that she could release. Energy. Needless to say when it happened she was as surprised as anyone.
He couldn't handle it
Her fiance couldn't take it. Plan and simple. He brushed her off, not wanting to try and adjust to the change in her. It was difficult but with her families support she stood tall through it all.
Finishing school
She finished school and did well but it was hard.
Passion and purpose
After graduating with her Physical Education degree she decided to take a new leap. She went to Paragon City and signed up as a Hero.
The Foundation
The Zenvious Foundation took her under their wing. She made fast friends and enjoyed their company.
Volunteering
Hero work was not her focus. Her focus, other than being a Phys. Ed teacher, was volunteering with the Steel Canyon Children's Hospital. Heading up a very involved program it became her passion.
A moment to see
While in the D she was able to see again, actually see, through the abilities of a fellow Foundation member. She's very grateful for that.
Chance meeting and what came after
Ah the D.
Yes.. he's blind too.
While hanging out at the D she found herself drawn to a man who was also blind. They became involved, eventually moving in together. He taught her braille.
Rough patch
Things aren't so simple.
Separation
Konane and she split up. It just wasn't working anymore and she was terribly frustrated. Surprisingly she sought out a friend who'd listen but whom she wouldn't have thought she'd turn to.
He's bad.. really bad...
Rush Michaels, known as Rush Hour, ran Pocket Z, which use to be called The Overbrook Hottub Society. A frustrating man with no inhibitions and extremely uncouth attitude had grown on her.
Yet he's mine
Eventually the two hooked up, moving in together. Though an unlikely pair they work well together in every sense.
The new suit
Rush, a tech man, put together a suit for her. It's a beautiful suit. Though confining it also allows her to be a bit more proactive with her abilities.
Currently
The Zenvious Foundation closed, leaving both she and Rush without a group. Unlike with most of the Foundation members this was not a major issue. Life continues to go on. They do their hero thing on the side but she still focuses on her volunteering while he runs a bar and makes gadgets.
