History

Origin

Isabella Lourdes's father had devoted his life to working for the Longbow, being one of their premier scientists. Taking his family from Paragon City and moving to the Rogue Isles to be closer to his work he inadvertently put them in grave danger. When Mercy Island was left barren during the Rikti Invasion, Isabella's father couldn't be distracted when his wife went missing. His feverish attempts to find a scientific edge over the growing Snake population was granted in the form of what he called his "magic mists". He'd created a pollutant which caused random generic abilities in those who inhaled it. He drugged his own daughter and left young Isabella on her own on Mercy Island to battle the Snakes at the Longbow moved in. But instead of creating a superhuman powerhouse how he'd imagined he learned only too late that she was taken by the Infected before she ever gained her abilities. She was taken to a number of Infected hideouts within the abandon flats of the city and used as their demented plaything until her powers manifested in horrible shrieks and strengthened pain threshold. Unable to control her the Infected left her outside a Longbow building where she was taken to Paragon City to heal.

Paragon City

After learning that her own father tried to use his own drug on himself which drove him insane, Isabella put him in the same hospital she healed in under their psychiatric care. She shuddered at the thought of returning to the Rogue Isles in search of her mother and instead took the container and mists to fully evolve her powers and strengthen them when needed, a reminder of the price she's paid to own her abilities. She felt she had no other choice, her pain had caused her her abilities and she knew that it was a great gift no matter how undeserved. She took an alias and costume and hit the streets, seeking to the right the wrongs to prevent her pain from ever happening again.
