Well, with all the squid comments and tenticle remarks revolving around young Asian females, I decided that it might be amusing to have the stereotype twisted a bit. I mean, a young Asian pop star that turns INTO a tenticle monster - among other things - makes me chuckle as much as cringe ^_^;

Personality
Excitable and curious as ever, Miya tends to represent the stereotype of most young tourists to Paragon City. New to the life of a Superhero, she takes everything with a fresh outlook, occasionally a little nieve in her decisions due to this innocence. Her motions and mannerisms seem a little too much for some, as she follows the tradition of most Japanese Idols, being very bouncy and cheerful and using excessive hand motions all the time. She's nearly always happy to see anyone, approaching even the most sullen and dark individuals with her own brand of upbeat optimism. The fusion with the energy being seems to have givin her only his powers and essence, as his mind places no limits on her own, as if she were perfect as she was.
Powers
Due to the merging of the alien with her own spiritual essence, Miya boasts an impressive array of powers, from simple light manipulations to the funnelling of trementous energy into various beams or barriers, whatever suits her need at the time. She has occasionally been seen giving little energy puppet shows or simply toying with this innate manipulation of light for amusement, be it her own or that of others. This has a variety of effects, and sometimes gets her negative reactions from other more prideful Kheldians. As with most other Kheldiens, she holds the skill to change forms, be it into the translucent crystal-like being known as a "White Dwarf" or into the flying energy being known as a "Bright Nova". It is rumored that she may even be able to turn into pure, unbridled energy, though it has yet to be seen or recorded on her show.
Luminous Blast
Miya's energy goes far beyond her positive outlook and personality. The essence of the Kheldian merged with her own soul gives her a potent power over the incredible energies held within the ether about the universe. Tapping into this seemingly naturally, she focuses it and emits amazing bursts of power, levelling enemies and structures alike with little seeming effort on her own behalf. She usually follows her attacks with some showy phrase, such as "Miya Beam!" or "Golden Disk!" and the occasional "Glorius Solar Ray!", though this seems more for show than for practical purposes, seeing as she doesn't require such phrases for the execution of these abilities.
Luminous Aura
When the inevitable happens, and enemies turn her way to harm the young starlet, Miya has been seen shaping ether energies to defend herself, commonly using such power to take the energy out of the attacks heading her way. She has been spotted infusing herself with the ether to fuel her own life essence and reconstruct her body in the rare occasion she is hit. This same aura is what she seems to use when idly playing with energy, forming figures of light for amusements sake, as they do not appear to be usable in combat.
Shapeshifting
As is seen with a great number of other Kheldians and in many Nictus as well, Miya has the ability to change forms into that of a "Bright Nova" or "White Dwarf", expanding her already potent resivoire of power. She tends to favour the flying form of the "Bright Nova" for its improved skill in shaping energy blasts and astounding maneuverability. Rarely seen in her "White Dwarf" form, it has been rumored that she hasn't gotten full mastery over it as of yet, though no proof has been given either way.
History
A well known JPop Idol from Japan, Miya is in no way your standard hero. Singing at one of her many concerts, this 16 year old starlet was visited by a Kheldian, her words luring him there as a siren would doomed sailors. Due to her laser light display being hooked to her vocalizer, her words were mixed with the music to create a high energy display in the night sky! While this was amusing to those humans about, the Kheldian - being an entity of pure energy - felt a much stronger emotion well up within him. Her words came to him on all levels, now hearing audiably as well as seeing and even feeling the song within his own energies. That night, when the show was over and Miya was resting in her home, he slipped in and proclaimed his love for her, telling her of himself and everything she btought to bear within him. They spoke for hours, and Miya was utterly amazed by how she had affected him. When he told her of the fusion, she accepted wholeheartedly, letting him into her body to blend with her soul; his one and only wish since meeting her.
Since then, Miya has been experimenting with her powers, having to move to Paragon City until the Japanese govermnet completes her authorization papers and licencing. Making the best of this, though, young Miya's agents decided to take this opportunity to spread her reknown and fame with a marvelous idea. A Reality Television show of her life as a Superheroine: Magical Miya and her Super Friends! The show is filmed with a variety of nano-tech hovercameras, none larger than the head of a pin. They hover about Miya and the surrounding area and film every ounce of her exciting adventures, as their audio-recording bretheren take in all her commentary and the explosions and whatnot alike. Many noteworthy heroes have made appearances on the show without knowing, though she DOES have the film censored to hide identities and whatnot.
