TROUBLESHOOT
"Bang. You're dead."
Though his life started out as a true rags-to-riches story, Dante Murphy was practically born to be a statistic. Dante was raised in a poor family in Kings Row, Paragon City and hardened by the tough streets he grew up on. But Dante was determined to escape; by any means necessary.
Despite it all, Dante refused to become a product of his environment, and did it legitimately, graduating from high school at the top of his class. He got into banking after that, gathering the funds to move his family from the Row to Galaxy City. A few years later, Dante reconnected with an old high school sweetheart. The two wed shortly after meeting again, starting a family together soon after.
It was just as Dante realized how successful he had become that it all came crashing down. A childhood friend of his had apparently gotten into some trouble with the Family and needed help. Loyal to a fault, Dante willingly allowed himself to be pulled into the world he fought so hard to escape. Deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole he fell before he realized what he'd become: a mob cleaner.
Dante found himself repeatedly cleaning up his friend's messes, removing incriminating evidence from crime scenes to mislead authorities. Blood, weapons, fingerprints, and eventually - witnesses. He had finally become the statistic he was destined to be. Before he prided himself on being a pillar of the community; a family man. Now the title had taken on an ironic literalism, as he had become a tool of the Family.
Dante eventually became little more than a hired gun, selling his skills to the highest bidder. But after closely inspecting a crime scene, Monsterface caught on and followed the trail that lead to Dante. But with no concrete evidence, Ollie couldn't take him down. And after seeing how happy his family was, he wasn't sure he wanted to.
