Personality
Lin is brash, snarky, and impulsive. Rejects authority out of hand, and is more likely to come up with a random nickname for you than to remember your real name. She will be the first to rush in to a fight, and the last to admit defeat. She can come across as arrogant, even a little conceited, and does not take direction well as a general rule.
Powers
Lin possesses limited psionic potential. In her case, it is subconscious and always on. She cannot read minds per se, though she often pretends she can, she can pick up strong emotions and directed surface thoughts in her close proximity. Usually enough to fake that she's actually reading your mind. This allows her the ability to sense, a few moments before, just where her opponents will attack and she can add a burst of telekinetic energy to her blows.
She cannot control her powers, and this results in constant buzzing and often a headache as a result.
Abilities
Lin is a talented musician. She can play the piano and guitar expertly. She is also a singer, and fronted a symphonic metal band for a while.
Weaknesses and Limitations
She is often suffering from severe headaches, and at the very least a constant buzzing sound in her head from all the stray thoughts and feelings she senses around her. This is part of why she is often on edge and seemingly irritable. As stated above, though psychic, she cannot actually establish a two way telepathic communication (except under very specific circumstances) nor can she do any fancy mind reading or anything like that.
Equipment
Aside from her earbuds and mp3 player, blasting at high volume, she would probably list her leather pants and hair dye as the only essential equipment. Though she does have a small box in her nightstand that is locked and has apparently been in her possession for a long time.
Character History
She did not appear on the PPD or FBSA radar until a short while before she was registered at the school. She was found at the remains of a warehouse in Kings Row, surrounded by dead, or unconscious Skulls gang members and a number of party goers from the illegal rave happening there. It appears she and her band had been performing there, when the Skulls showed up. Her abilities seem to have manifested only then, during the attack and the associated stress, rather late in life for most mutants.
She cannot recall exact details, but the events of that night weigh heavily on her, and the loss of someone she held most dear.
As an unregistered super powered individual, she was whisked away to be tried. The DA, however, gave her a choice. Take a registration, become a card carrying 'hero' and go to Headmaster Alphas school, or face a certain jail sentence.
She chose the former. Reluctantly.
