Morisco is the Professor of Technology for Squadron X. Although he is a mutant he spends far more time with researchers and scientists at DATA than he does with GIFT. Through his connections at DATA Morisco is frequently called upon to analyze new extradimensional technologies that are discovered by the Portal Corporation. Morisco is also consulted when Rikti technologies are salvaged from the various war zones throughout Paragon City.
Backstory
Nothing is known about Morisco's personal history; he simply arrived in Paragon City in late 2007 and found himself working as a technological consultant for DATA and the Portal Corporation. There are several rumors as to his origins, but the one that is most believed is that Morisco is a mutant from either an alternate universe, dimension, or timeline. With his potential to understand and build technologies that permit dimensional or time travel, Morisco could be from anywhere - and any time. Morisco's knowledge of Earth's history is also quite profound, and he seems to be able to predict with near 100% accuracy when certain events will occur or where people can be located. Whether or not this is due to research he conducts in future timelines or whether he has a mutant ability to forsee events remains unknown.
Squadron X
As a Professor for Squadron X Morisco is a serious teacher. He doesn't have much of a sense of humor and he takes his obligations very seriously. Morisco has an interest in preventing young mutants from making the wrong choices in life.
Powers
Hyper-Engineering
Morisco's only true mutant ability is something that he calls hyper-engineering or hyper-invention. It allows him to quickly understand how to properly use, assemble, disassemble, repair, and modify any piece of technology. Using this ability Morisco is a walking arsenal of weaponry and devices that makes him a formidable opponent, even against other superhumans who possess obvious and more dramatic super powers. Morisco is frequently called upon by DATA and the Portal Corporation to analyze new pieces of technology that they stumble across. There doesn't appear to be any limits as to what Morisco can understand and figure out, whether that technology is terrestrial, extraterrestrial, or extradimensional.
Morisco incidentally has an affinity for computers, security systems, and surveillance devices. Morisco cannot make computer programs do something they aren't programmed to do, but he can certainly rewrite these programs with enough time. Computer networks, databases, and security systems won't remain impregnanble to Morisco for long as he can rather quickly determine the best way to access the appropriate firewalls and other security measures.
