Mu Normae came about by my wanting to try playing a rad defender, and finally deciding on making an android that also shoots energy blasts. She's mostly inspired by anime-ish battle androids, basically a humanoid tank, as opposed to tamer robots like in Asimov or Star Trek. Her main visual inspiration is KOS-MOS from Xenosaga (Pretty much the first thing I settled on is what I wanted her to look like).

Personality

Mu's personality is cold and robotic, as one would expect from a combat android. However, her program does have the ability to grow, so whether or not she will begin to form a more human personality remains to be seen. She does not understand metaphor or sarcasm, and will take anything said at face value.

Since the second invasion, something seems to have happened to Mu that scrambled her brain pretty good. She only speaks in code or recordings of other people now. She seems to have some awareness of grammar and meaning when she speaks in recordings. Her dominant emotions at the moment, if you could call them that, are frustration and confusion. She likes to ask a lot of questions, and frequently asks someone to #DEFINE something. She doesn't mean to be rude, she just has a limited set of tools to work with at the moment.

Specifications

Mu Normae's frame is composed of a titanium alloy. Inside, she has a miniature nuclear reactor, which produces an almost unlimited amount of energy for very little fuel. Mu is capable of functioning at almost full capacity even when badly damaged/missing limbs. Her vital systems are split between her head and torso sections in such a way that if she loses one, she is still able to retain most of her functionality. Her body contains a series of small nanobots that allow her to repair cosmetic damage to her frame, as well as reattach lost parts if they are held in place for a few seconds. Her head contains a satellite uplink to the internet, which allows her to quickly search public databases for information about people, places, things, etc. Because she has a constant port open, she has very powerful security systems installed to prevent hacker intrusion.

Finally, she is able to manipulate her energy flow in such a way that it allows her to fly. Flight requires a large redirection of energy flow, causing some of it to vent out and take the shape of blue wings made of pure energy.

Energy Blasts

Mu's primary offensive weapon is energy blasts channeled from her core through her arms.

Radiation

Although the radiation produced by her core is contained entirely within Mu's body, she is able to release it at will, in various forms both harmful and beneficial.

History

The Mu Normae Prototype, not completely assembled
The Normae class battle android was originally conceived as an artificial superpower, to help support the real superpowers fighting in the Rikti war. However, creating such a machine with the technology available at the time proved more difficult than first thought, and by the time a functional prototype was produced (Mu), the war had ended. Instead of scrapping the project entirely, a small government branch was created to reprogram Mu Normae for law enforcement, as well as to watch her progress and keep her regularly maintained.

#DEFINE: SELF?

In other words, her brain is messed up, and the Normae group that is supposed to maintain her was destroyed by the Rikti. Something else seems to be happening to her as well, something strange...
