Mysterium Fidei is my attempt at a non-magic origin character. The idea spawned from a combination of Star Trek(Data from TNG and the Doctor from Voyager), and Ghost in the Shell(the Major). A basic outline of, what if a machine could 'become' human in a sense by being able to understand emotions and think for itself(and have a soul). All of that, and I wanted to try and find a way to get the deluxe tux costume piece to actually look halfway decent, just because.

Background History
Deumos Industries
Public Knowledge
Deumos Industries is a leading technological company that is located in Austin, Texas. On the outside, they are a company that is decent in its knowledge of robotics and cybernetics. Their business has mostly stayed in Texas with making robotics to aid in factory work and cybernetics for animals (mostly cattle and horses) that have damaged limbs, as well the same offered to people. The company as a whole has a modest amount of profit from their services, yet has never tried to expand beyond the Texas border to possibly gain a larger name for itself.
Hidden Knowledge
What Deumos Industries tries its best to keep hidden is its work with Potential Psychic Energy. Their 'new and inventive' robotics and cybernetics work as well as they do, because of a minor self-recharging storage of Potential Psychic Energy to allow the machines to function outside the limits of 'common' technology of the time. It doesn't hurt when you've managed to get your hands on stolen Rikti technology to upgrade the efficiency of your products as well.
Project AVATAR
This was a hidden underground project Deumos Industries was working on until its recent completion. The project was to design a fully functional cybernetic human in every sense of the word (emotions, a conscience, you name it), with added defensive and offensive features to maintain itself in the world. The prototype was an artificial program that resembled a human personality to an extent, but was still highly incomplete. Over time, a final product was made with a key addition that Deumos Industries came to realize. The final addition to the project was a human subject, that was killed, and at the moment of death, the essence, or what some could call the soul of that person, was captured and processed into the program with the aid of their development on Potential Psychic Energy. The end result, call name Mysterium Fidei, was released into the world to learn, explore, and in the hopes of Deumos Industries, become another generation of 'artificially enhanced' humans. Project AVATAR is under constant watch and surveillance by Duemos Industries, but only to watch and see if their project is a success (they do not want to ruin the experiment of interacting with the human world), or a false hope.
Personality Basics
Project AVATAR, or Fidei as it has decided for itself, has a robotic influence in her speech that seems to lack a large amount of emotion (though some can still be seen). Much of the experiences of the world are unknown to "her" still, and thus she is curious on he matters of many things. She is mostly quiet and reserved when not on missions in the ever dangerous Paragon City. Very slowly she has started to adapt her speech and personality based on those she interacts with on a daily basis, in hopes to better her human interaction. When asked about confidential information, she tends to not override classified barriers. Though if she trusts the target with the information, she may be inclined to override said barriers and give the answer.
Offensive/Defensive Mode
When on objectives(missions) Fidei currently loses most of her more 'humanoid' personality and becomes a militaristic robot that is concerned with the completion of the mission and the safety of the group she is currently with.
Civilian Mode
An added 'mode' to project AVATAR that was found in her database after spending time in Paragon City and learning. This mode has since been active once it was found and activated for the first time. It is more of an expansion to her programing more than another interface mode. Fidei gained a more human-like speech pattern and personality, and increased the speed of her learning human interaction.
Powers
Healing
Fidei has the ability to transmit a concentrated amount of PPE (Potential Psychic Energy) on a steady wavelength to regenerate and strengthen damaged tissue of nearby allies to varying amounts of strength and alteration. As well as being able to regenerate organic tissue, this process can repair inorganic material (this would quality the majority of her body) to a certain extent, allowing for less overall maintenance of any type of machinery that it is used upon.
Electricity
Much like her healing, Fidei transmits PPE out towards another target. But unlike her healing abilities, this offensive capability sends out erractic wavelengths of PPE that shows visible and physical similarity to electricity.
Other Powers
Fidei has the knowledge that her hardware has the capabilities of enhanced leaping, limited teleportation, and cloaking, but has yet to have been able to gain access to all of them at this current point in time.
