Leader of the All Sinister Terror Squadron
Origin/History
Born in the summer of 1057, James Loring was to be Lord of a small feifdom after his father. Trained in all things a Lord needed to know, he became an exceptional warrior and diplomat..
Though more than a little unprincipled he still performed well in all things he was charged with, expanding his father's holdings substantially by the time he was 16.
Unfortunately, avoiding an assassin's dagger hidden in the bosom of a comely maid wasn't part of his training. More unfortunate for said maid was the fact that James refused to stay dead.
This led to a revalation for him, and a change of power for his land as he took control by killing his father and claiming the Lordship. Those that opposed the change in order were shown just how difficult it would be to defeat him.
James' reign was long and surprisingly lacking in the turmoil that plagued other lands. Watching the cruelty of his father, and the numerous uprisings that came of it showed him that mistreating your vassals led to more work than was needed, or fewer vassals...
This is not to say he was a kind ruler, simply pragmatic. Neighboring lands that had anything he wanted were absorbed by one method or another, often underhanded means, but occasionally direct conflict.
Sometime after a century of manipulating his neighbors and watching all those around him die, including a number of wives and children, he grew bored and simply left. It's possible that word of the ensuing chaos amused him.
In reality, he was seeking a new challenge.
Over the next few centirues he travelled widely, sometimes learning what he wanted to know, sometimes taking what he felt he needed, sometimes settling down for a time.
It is known during the 15th and 16th centuries he again tried his hand at leading nations with significant success before again becoming bored and leaving his 'people' to whatever fate came to them.
By the late 20th century he had decided that mortal men just did not have the capacity to keep him entertained anymore, turning his attention instead to the increasing number of superhumans.
Tyrant proved to be a significant challenge and it was only by playing off powers against each other, and offering just the right incentive to just the right people, that he managed to remain relatively untouched by the overall power struggles going on.
It was during this time that he organized the All Sinister Terror Squadron, both as a way to build his own power against Tyrant, and to maintain the appearance of being helpful.

After discovering the existance of Primal Earth, James found he had access to the perfect challenge.... himself.
Currently he is making the most of this new situation.
Powers
James' only real power is his immortality.
The full extent of this power is still unknown, but it is capable of reviving him from lethal wounds.
In the past this has included having his head removed and being incinerated.
What others would call 'regeneration' is merely a side effect of this power.
Skills and Abilities
James has, over the years, obtained training in nearly every combat style known to man. His fighting style has evolved over the centuries to include many martial arts styles and a fair amount of acrobatics. His normal training regimen is designed to keep himself in as fit condition as is possible, and he is capable of running faster and jumping farther than would seem possible without superhuman powers.
In addition, James has travelled the world extensively and knows the languages and ways of a dozen different cultures well enough to pass for a native. His knowledge of world history and the specifics of some major events surpasses even some of the modern day's so-called experts. After all, someone that lived through an event knows better than someone that had to read a book.
His time as a king of both his homeland, then other places over time, has made him fairly skilled in the political arena as well.
