Personality

Generally speaking, Nicoletti is a cheerful and intelligent person who is willing to help out her crew mates at a moment's notice. She is calm under pressure, and able to work through difficult tactical situations with relative ease.

Her siblings often describe her as being most like her father, the late Admiral Emohi Davenport of the CMF Easy Spirits. Admiral Davenport was a courageous man with a big heart, who was unafraid of risking his life for his fellow crew mates. While she admits to seeing some of that in herself, she is hesitant to compare herself to a man of his stature, and she still aspires to be a great Admiral of the Cygnian Fleet as he was.

Appearance

Nicoletti was born with soldier's blood pumping through her veins, and thus she is rarely seen wearing anything but her uniform.

Her Cygnian Marine uniform consists of polymer armor with LCD coating that is all but impervious to small arms and fire damage, although it can weaken under sustained attacks. Optionally, she wears her balaclava and/or IR goggles for special missions which require stealth or nighttime operations.

Alternatively, she wears her United States Marine BDUs, although she has made minor alterations for wear outside of combat.

Military Career

Though born into what was essentially military royalty, Nicoletti opted to begin her military career as all others—through entering basic training. It is there that she, like her other siblings, developed her natural talent for marksmanship. Although proficient with all firearms, she was particularly skilled with her standard-issue sidearm, preferring it to any other weapon in combat.

Upon exiting basic training, she volunteered for several tours of duty with the Cygnian Marines, earning several medals for bravery and distinguished service. From there, she went on to Officer Candidate school, taking up several courses in Communications and Journalism.

Although she chose to become a Communications Officer aboard the CMF Rho Majoris, she has had increasing difficulty re-adjusting to civilian life. With permission from the Captain, she has since enlisted with the United States Marines as part of their Radio Reconnaissance division.

She currently divides her time between the Rho and missions with her unit.

Abilities

While Nicoletti has no superpowers to speak of, she has been trained as both a Cygnian and United States Marine. As such, she is physically and mentally fit and proficient in a number of different weapons systems. She is also capable of speaking and understanding a number of different languages.

Xenolinguistics

Nicoletti is fluent in several languages, and familiar with dozens more. These include, but aren't limited to: English, German, Russian, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, and several languages of the Cygnian star system.

It is because of this proficiency in languages that she is naturally qualified to be the ship's Communications Officer, as well as capable of translations within her reconnaissance unit.

Marksmanship

While preferring the use of her standard-issue sidearm, Nicoletti is proficient with all classes of firearms. This includes her Vanguard Elite Redding rifle, which is classified as an anti-material sniper rifle.

Scouting

As both a Cygnian and United States Marine, Nicoletti is unafraid of the risks involved in scouting the territory ahead of her unit. She utilizes a number of different devices to survey and secure the area, including proximity sensors, trip mines, signal flares, smoke and flashbang grenades, and LCD cloaking devices embedded within her uniform.

Weaknesses and Limitations

After sustaining burns to 35% of her body from the chest down, Nicoletti was put on a morphine regimen in order to lessen the pain. Despite artificial skin grafts she still wound up with extensive scarring, and after being taken off her medically-induced coma, still reported debilitating pain.

Araceli Navarro, the Medical Officer responsible for her care, continued to administer morphine to her despite her better judgement. While she has since moved on to other medications, Nicoletti now finds herself utterly dependent upon pain pills. Side effects of these pills are severe, and often leave her as weakened as she would have been without them.
