A monster in disguise Nifty is a man trying to reinvent himself as a teddbear like hero in the "Next Gen".
Skills & Powers:
Has a highly active metabolism allowing him to heal wounds within a fraction of the normal times and is inhumanly agile. His clawed hands and feet make him a superb climber and combind with the leaping strength of his legs he can move through the city like an ape through the jungle. with heightened senses, reaction and decteretiy he is also a superb sowrdfighter. Nifty could probably also use his claws as deadly weapons if he chose to fight like that.

Overall Personality: Friendly and open, Nifty is always curious about new people. He does his best to make others feel at ease and will rather make a clown out of himself than risk intimidating others with his appearance.
Likes: People, Girls (yes even more than the other people), fighting, bad guys (since he can fight them), being a hero, watching his DVD collection of Melrose Place and Beverly Hills 90210, Bananas (Bananas are good).
Dislikes: Having fangs, claws and fur. “Dark” heroes and all those crazy murdering villain folks.
Brief Personal History:
It began with a harmless accident in a basketball game shortly after Maik Rayner had turned 17. Then he was brought to the hospital because of a broken leg it had already healed by the time they arrived. After the first tests he learned that he was part of the ever growing mutant population. While most of his friends and family were shocked he just said “So I’m super fit and never get sick? Nifty.” A few weeks later things changed for the worse. His mutation went into its final stage. Maik was never afraid of monsters. Until he turned into the thing kids saw in their closet. With glowing purple eyes, long claws, multi limbed joints and dirty greyish hair covering all of his body he turned into the poster mutant the public is afraid of. Seeing the reaction of his parents and friends Maik ran of and ended up in the supernatural underground of Paragon City. He turned to petty crime to survive but while his powers would have allowed him to become a bigger player in the crime scene he just tried to stay out of sight and survive. Hidden under an old coat Maik was among the curious crowd watching then the Genesis Academy opened its gates to the public. After four years on the streets he decided to push his luck and walked right in. He didn’t look back once. Maik was given the option to live on the campus grounds, complete his education and live a normal life among the mutants gathered in the neawly created school. He went into his new rooms for four days, considering what he had seen. After that a new person appeared. His hair cut short, contact lenses hiding the glow of his eyes and a years supply of hairdye later the self invented blue furred Nifty applied for membership in the NeXt team. He had decided to be someone people wouldn’t have to fear. After only a ten minute interview Galaxyan agreed. Despite his rough life Nifty still believes that people are basically decent folks and he thinks if he can get them used to the “cuter” version of himself he will give other freaky looking mutants a better chance to be accepted too. Tolerance has to grow step by step afterall.
Glad in the newly created Deathsuits, armed with two Impervium-Katanas and prowling the streets he had lived on for so long he became one of the first of the new generation of heroes.
