Cape and under vest (Titanium woven silk helps protect him from damage.) Equipment belt (holds ammo, speed loaders for his weapons, and other items for fighting crime.)

History: Kevin Kane was born in 1919 in Chicago Illinois. He grew up with his father who was an inventor, and ran his own fix-it shop in down town Chicago. It was a hard life for both of them, with Kevin mother died when he was five of at the time of an unknown illness. Kevin tried very hard to excel at everything he could do. Graduating from his high school, and college both with top honors, he followed in his fathers foot steps with inventing, and started his own company that developed technologies to farther mankind. During this time his father who worked for him created a device that would give anyone who used it mental power beyond human limits. This invention was to him mankind explores the human mind, but a mob boss by the name of Don Giavonti found out about the invention, and wanted it for himself. On that night Kevin’s father was working late in his lab, when two thugs broke in to steal the device. When they could not find his fathers invention, the thugs shot his father. At this point Kevin walked in on the crime, and watch in horror as his father was killed. In a blind rage Kevin attacked his father murders, but was no match for the two hoods. He was beaten and was left for dead by the murderous men. After being in a coma for three day he awoke to the news that his father was dead, and that the police had no leads on who committed the crime. Months went by, and Kevin had regained much of his strength, but the cop still had nothing. Frustrated and in sorrow Kevin started his own looking around, and that’s when he came across his father’s journal. In the journal he found several clues into the ware bouts of his father’s invention. Following the clues Kevin found a secret room in the back of his father’s lab, where the invention sat safe and sound. When he found the invention he was surprised by the same two men who killed his father. The men had been watching him for all these month waiting for him to find the devise. The men over powered him again, and shoved him backward slamming him into the invention switching it on. The machine came to life and gave a thundering jolt to Kevin’s head. After this action the thugs took the opportunity, and finish him off. One of the men raised his gun and fired, but was shocked to see the bullet stop in mid air and fall to the floor right in front of Kevin. With a clear head, and a smirk of his face Kevin pushed out with his mind slamming the two men into the wall behind them knocking them out. With the two men unconscious Kevin used this new found power to probe the minds of these fiends, and find everything he needed to bring down Don Giavonti. He knew that he needed to hide his identity so to keep his wife and son safe from harm, so he when to work creating gadgets, and other items to hide his true identity. He assumed the roll as The Phantom Specter, and waged a one man war with crime. First he took down Don Giavonti and his gang, but did not stop there. Knowing that with his new power he could help people feel safe in the city. Two years after the fall of Don Giavonti, the city was all a buzz on it new super hero. Criminal’s coward in fear that soon the Phantom Specter was coming for them. Kevin was full of happiness, with his company going global, and his son growing up, all seem to be well. Kevin’s wife worried about her husband living this new life of crime fighting. She feared that one day he will not come home. Her fears soon came true when one day a mad man was holding the city hostage with a bomb that would destroy the entire city. The Phantom Specter rushed into action to take down this new villain, but not before the villain set the bomb off. With the bomb about to explode Phantom Specter worked to disarm the device. He managed to make the bomb implode and destroying itself. The city was safe once again, but this time at a cost. The building that the bomb was in disappeared and there was no sign of the Phantom Specter. The whole was shocked, and mourned the lost of it hero. Year went by, wars were fought, and life went on with out this hero who was now all but forgotten. The year was now 2009, and in Paragon city on Peregrine Island. Kurtis Lawrence worked with several tech of the Portal Corporation on one of it many teleportation devises. With a blinding flash a man body fell to the floor out of the gateway. Kurtis and the other men approached the man with caution, and checked his vitals. Kurtis looked up to an elderly man in a standing above them and said “It him.” Kevin awoke in a bed to a world very different world. Next to his bed sat a man in his sixty, who when Kevin looked towards him a tear formed in his eyes. “I knew it was you dad.” the man said as the two embraced. Kevin son explained that the bomb did not kill him but threw him forward in time, and with the help Kane INC. and Portal Corp. they were able to find him. With the help of Kevin son’s friend, and CEO of Kane INC, they were able to make an identity for Kevin, as his son’s long lost child, and heir to the company. A year went by and Kevin and his son caught up on lost time. This was until during a robbery Kevin’s son was killed. Once again with the lost of a loved one Kevin took up the mantel of the Phantom Specter, and brought his son’s murders to justice. After this Kevin knew that this world still needed someone like him, and with the help of his son’s friend Kurtis started his new life as a hero, in a new time, and a new city.
