Photon Marvel
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
Special thanks for this character goes to the player "@Golden Man" and his original creation "Phantom Marvel" from which this character was obviously inspired. Further inspiration may be accredited to the robot detective R. Daneel Olivaw of Isaac Asimov's science fiction series.

Background History
The origins of the Photon Marvel are unique, which is what one might expect from a robotic duplicate of a modern-day hero from the future.
Fall Of the Heroes
In AD 2021 war was beginning.
The destruction caused by the Coming Storm and the culmination of Project: DESTINY had left the world in shambles. Many villainous organizations sought to take advantage by launching their own attacks, resulting in the Council War, the Second Rikti Invasion, and the Nemesis War. Old world orders collapsed before organizing into new global collectives while the people relied more and more on the dwindling population of those with super powers.
Throughout it all one band of heroes remained and stood firm during these trying times. They were the Protagonists, and although they had evolved into many different incarnations, the core principles that bound them were unchanged. In Paragon City and around the world they were well-known for their heroic deeds. Though they were not immune to the tragedies that had occurred, and members had been lost, a resolute handful continued the fight.
Thus it was ever more tragic when a consortium of their most dangerous foes, the final incarnation of a group then calling themselves the Ultra-Antagonists, savaged and destroyed the last of these heroes, effectively ending the team save for a surviving few not present at the time. The world wept while this league of villains threatened to establish their rule over the decayed wreckage of Paragon.
One man conceived an idea to stop these super criminals before they could tighten their grip around the world. Known to the world as William Hellbrook, a former Protagonist, now an aged scientist and inventor, he constructed a series of powerful android protectors modeled after the likeness and powers of his own former teammates. He called these five robots the Prototypes, and once they were ready the team was launched into action to take on the murderers of their predecessors.
After an epic battle the day was won, and the newly-crafted Prototypes became the superhero team of the new age.
Rise of the King
Hellbrook continued to operate the new robotic superhero team to great affect, using them to respond to emergency situations in Paragon City and throughout the world. By setting himself up in the Protagonist's old headquarters, the orbiting HALO space station, he and his Prototypes worked to stymie global disasters, curb violent outbreaks, and battle crime. While the robots were incredibly effective, they could not be everywhere at once, and world governments began calling for more machines to assist their underdeveloped security forces.

The Prototypes
The first team of robotic superheroes for which Photon Marvel was built to join, the Prototypes took on many challenges in their tireless pursuit of protecting their world from further harm. Later they became the most powerful instruments at the disposal of the King computer program, which some say corrupted their original intent as true defenders. The rest of the original team included Charlatron, Cyberscape, Ethereoid, Robot Racer, and Second Amendment.
The Protagonists
Photon Marvel was briefly a member of the mighty Protagonists at the rank of "Protector." However, he soon dissapeared for reasons unknown.
