Biography
For years Wade Livingston lived on the outskirts of Paragon City, both geographically and metaphorically. As an ordinary man with no great powers or abilities he wisely limited his time spent in those areas where super powered beings so often clashed. Still, as a brilliant young computer programmer and electrical engineer Wade was attracted to the network of businesses specializing in new technology to have their corporate headquarters in the city, including Crey Industries and Portal Corporation. As such he frequented many technology fairs, exposés, and seminars while working as a consultant.
Wade's interest in technology was such that when he heard about Architect Entertainment's amazing new promise of virtual reality by way of personalized theoretical pocket dimensions he knew he had to get in on the ground floor. However, try as he might, the only thing all of his connections could manage was being one of the first of a team of specialists to observe the system in action during a pre-launch demonstration. It was in Atlas Park's very own Architect Entertainment Building that Wade passed by one of the brand new computer consoles. As he watched, an unlikely glitch caused the screen to display technical readouts detailing many of the revolutionary technology's more sensitive systems. Wade stared, transfixed, as information known only to Dr. Aeon, Positron, and a handful of others briefly showed itself on screen. It happened for only a moment, but the images and equations had been burned into his brain.
Struck with the notion that he too possessed some of the knowledge that churned out the most advanced technology of the age, Wade wondered whether he could also reproduce it as well. Soon disregarding such reservations as a lack of equipment, money, and patent infringement, he became obsessed with the possibility of duplicating Dr. Aeon's work for himself.
Wade started work with feverish intensity, first by cataloguing all of the information from the computer he could remember, then filling in the blanks with his own best guesses and creative solutions. The garage in which he previously stored computer parts and electronics became a true workshop.
