Stinger

Ambition wasn't anything that interested Paul Porter, other than coming home from school flipping on the TV and putting in his favorite video game. He was smart, having straight A's would've never been a problem for him, but he found everything boring outside his own personal world of video games. His appearance never helped when he was at school, the social hierarchy made sure of that. Scrawny, unkept black hair, pale skin, and glasses automatically placed him in the nerd category. He rarely let it bother him, but when it did it was like an explosion of rage seething from his mind. He'd throw a punch, but be no match for the usually much larger athletic guys that would engage in the agitation. He eventually found a better way, hacking.

It was never anything big at least early on, but for him it was big enough since he had first learned how to do it. The school's server was the first, change a grade here, find someone that would be ineligible to play on the big Friday night game, if a point or two were taken away. Rumors eventually started, though not directed at him, that someone had hacked the school's servers. Sensing the possible danger and to be ready if anything did happen. He began to search the internet for anything that could bolster his punch if he had to throw one again and would be discrete if used.

The accusation finally happened, and Paul was ready for it. Thankfully it was after school and off of school property, so the confrontation couldn't be held against him. A slick black and silver glove he slipped on while reaching into his backpack. Gerrard Higgins laughed, "You think a glove can help you?"

"Actually yes," Paul said as he threw his right fist into the football players arrogant face. Gerrard quickly crumpled to the ground. Paul grimaced shaking his hand after the impact on Gerrard's face, "Ow, even with this thing on that hurt." He had discovered that a leather glove, some circuitry, and a few small batteries could turn an everyday glove into a kinetic powerhouse.

Word quickly got around about his supposed "power glove", but Paul was one step ahead, with a doctor's note, making it appear he had to wear it due to carpel tunnel syndrome. He would merely smile and wave whenever Gerrard would pass him by. Gerrard would eventually get his revenge, but he would employ more than just himself on their rematch.
