Life in a Mercy Orphanage
Clairissa had always wanted to be social, yet the way people teased her and outcast her due to her transformation when she was young crushed that. She had to grow a bit hardened, and went another way. People rejected her, teased her, hit her, and she decided to hit right back. She became a brawler, mess with her she beat the crap out of you. She become the big problem child in the orphanage, and had to be timed out for a long time.
Her schooling wasn't good. She was Dyslexic, and couldn't really get the hang of the numbers and letters, and was always a bomb in math and literature, and when it came to religion she always questioned the instructors, eventually causing them to just kick her out of it all together. She lost a few years of education because of her defiance, making her rather idiotic in formal education.
Hitting 18
Once she reached eighteen(Or what was supposed of that age) The Orphanage kicked her out on her own. Without anywhere to go, no one that cared for her, and her only knowledge of fighting, she had to join a new upcoming gang. It didn't make far, though. She taking it up as a lieutenant, only to have it brought down by a mix of Arachnos, RIP and Hellions. She couldn't get into the demon summoning, hated the military and the police more, so took up being a thief and mugger.
She had nothing to do but be a squatter. She lived in abandoned places, and got by through theft and garbage diving. She had her powers, but never really used them, until she had one of her old cronies from her gang come up and speak of a hit on Paragon City. They saying they had to show up some of the idiots around here.
