Created by Col. Dominic Azuro himself, The Architect is a constantly evolving State of the Art artificial intelligence. Representing The Projects as a single entity, it was designed to maintain productivity and see to the success of the military campaign, without any human interference. Originally a single super computer, the system quickly expanded across the globe, as well as cyberspace, in order to keep a closer watch over the agents, potential subjects, and also become virtually indestructible. Using more simplified methods such as tapping phone lines, or even more complex methods, such as hacking into foreign satellites orbiting the Earth, The Architect goes to great lengths to make sure that nearly everyone and everything is monitored, and more importantly, that all things are going smoothly according to 'plan'. Furthermore, while a holographic projection is occasionally used for communication, every piece of technology that agents of The Projects use is directly linked to The Architect for convenience, and more importantly, discretion. This might include cell phones, computers, and above all, the preferred 'compact'. A small, egg-shaped device developed by The Architect itself, it is designed to respond only to the specific agent it is assigned to. With DNA scanners on surfaces of either of its two buttons, the compact unfolds in a variety of ways using interactive holograms. The compact can act as a communications device, a small computer, a scanner, and a media recorder. It is the most efficient way the agents deliver new information to The Architect.
Recently, as Dominic Azuro was slowing with age, The Architect labeled him a potential threat to campaign, and proceeded to eliminate him using The Architect Drones, each individually referred to as 'TAD". These robotic, ruthless juggernauts equipped with a variety of weapons answer to The Architect alone, and obey any command they are given. Dominic Azuro was no exception. After his 'retirement', The Architect, as intended, was the only remaining authority. Maintaining the ultimate control over the entire operation, even over the human Directors, The Architect continues to see to it that the goals of The Projects are met without flaw. From producing the clones, locating potential subjects, calculating the potential outcome of any given situation, and even controlling The Brightside Corporation behind the public view, The Architect is appropriately considered one of the most advanced AI systems on the planet.
