Background:
He left everything for this. A loving family. A house of his own. A good job. The only world he had ever known. Simply put, Pure Justice is a vigilante. He appeared in Paragon City about 3 years ago, after making a nationwide radio address. Very little is known about him. No one knows who he is, where he is from, or even why he does what he does. In fact, the best indication for why he does this could simply be his name; Pure Justice. What is known, is that he doesn’t take his ‘job’ lightly. He does not make arrests and he knows this makes him no better than they are. He also knows that he will reap what he has sown. He was born for this; it is his calling.
The Decision:
From the time Pure Justice was about ten years old, he had felt as if there was something buried within himself. A warrior, and that ‘warrior’ always seemed to rear its head when something was amiss. He constantly felt pushed to do something about the evils that plague this world. After about ten more years of this overpowering feeling, he could not bear it any longer. A couple of years had come and gone when he finally decided to tell his five closest friends of his plans. He was now finally certain of what he must do. What he was meant to do.
Becoming Pure Justice:
Three years before talking with his friends, Pure Justice began training his body and mind. He started a strict work out and diet plan. Everything and anything he could do to naturally push his body, he did it. When he felt his body was ready, he spoke with his friends. He then set out for Japan, where he would train in the art of ninjutsu for one year. He quickly excelled and was a top student by the time he departed for Paragon.
Personality:
A loner. The strong, quiet type. Shy. Loyal. Overprotective. These are a few things one would pick up on rather quickly about Pure Justice. He has never been the outgoing type and is usually very withdrawn in crowds. He typically seems to engulfed in his work to have time for anything else. He is very passionate about what he does, and emotional towards the right things. It does seem that, as of late, some one has began to pull him out of his shell.
Powers:
No powers here, just a combination of mind, body, and training. In all honesty, Pure Justice couldn’t care less about having powers. He does not feel that he needs them, nor does he want them. He is more than happy with his body armor, sword, and a good pair of sunglasses. Do not be fooled though, just because he does not want powers, does not mean he has not planned on facing others who possess them.
Equipment:
The Sword:
The katana that he uses was not easy to come by. It is made of proto-metal, which had to be stolen directly from Arachnos. The metal was developed by Recluse to aid in combating Statesman. The arms on Recluse's back are composed of this metal and has even been known to cut Statesman.
Body Armor:
The base of all the body armor Pure Justice uses is Kevlar. Extra components have been added to aid in protecting against other forms of powers. Each suit has ‘insulating dampeners’ to weaken or possibly nullify any forms of energy or elemental attacks.
Shuriken:
The most basic piece of equipment Pure Justice uses. They are a standard four point throwing star, composed of a high carbon steel. He uses these mostly for stealth distractions and of course the runners.
Grapnel Guns:
To quickly move through the city, Pure Justice uses a matching pair of retractable grapnel guns. He will also use them to get out of tight spots or even disappear in the blink of an eye.
The Shades:
These sunglasses do a lot more than just keep out the UV rays. The lenses can display important environmental conditions and have different imaging modes such as: thermal, night vision, infrared, and full spectrum imaging. The most important feature the sunglasses have are the ‘neural scramblers’. These provide protection from telepathic invasion or detection.
The Rides:
Pure Justice has an assortment of different vehicles at his disposal. He uses these for extended travel and even leisure from time to time. All have offensive and some defensive capabilities and more than enough motor to spare. His personal favorite is the 2010 Dodge Challenger. The next in line is the 2010 Ford Mustang. The other two he uses possibly reflect his roots, if given his accent. The first of these being a Ford F-150 4x4. The other, an original Hummer. No not some H2 or H3 junk, the real deal. All four vehicles have the same finish and interior: flat black finish with no chrome and gun metal grey interior. The Mustang has recently been repainted jet black, detailed in chrome and red. It was given to some one very close to him as a gift.
Friends and Allies:
Pure Justice does not trust or call you a friend very easily. This is very evident in the small group of friends he keeps.
Justice X:
This is the group Pure Justice started. It is composed of himself and the five friends mentioned above. When he told them of his plans, some strange things were revealed and he learned that they were all already involved. While Pure Justice was in Japan training, the rest of the guys headed to Paragon to establish a base of operations. The trust between this close knit group is unbreakable and they have been brothers to one another over the years. Pure Justice would readily die for each and everyone of them. All of the names they have are twists on wrestling names that were given to them by Pure Justice back when things were…normal.
Archangel Diesel:
Yes, a best friend of Pure Justice’s for twenty-two years, is an archangel. This, however, was not really what shocked Pure Justice. What did shock him was the fact that Diesel had been here preparing for this before Pure Justice had even been born. He is a beast in battle, but has restrictions on how much he can be involved. When he is involved though, it is not pretty.
Hardcore Saint:
Saint is another long standing friend of Pure Justice. These two have actually know each other their entire lives, but really forged a friendship about seventeen years ago. The trust Pure Justice has towards Saint is very evident when they fight together. Pure Justice is in melee range on the attack, while Saint, is away from the fight blasting away with his dual pistols.
TECH D.:
D is the brain of the group. From research and development to medical needs, D holds down the fort. D and Pure Justice have also been friends for seventeen years. Back in those days, D was the one who rounded out the group of three and added that missing element. With Pure Justice being as hard headed as he is, D always has his hands full in the base’s infirmary.
Khaos Dragoon:
Pure Justice and Dragoon have been friends for nearly thirteen years, but it has always seemed like much longer. The two can practically have an entire conversation with hardly anything said, leaving everyone else in a fog. They know each other like the backs of their own hands. Watching them spar can be quite amusing due to this.
Arc Speed:
The youngest member of Justice X and the craziest to boot. Thirteen years of crazy has followed this due, up until now. Pure Justice considers him to be the little brother, where as all the others are just...brothers. He is very protective of Speed because of this. If you can make it past the mud brown leisure suit, he is always good for a laugh.
Jo M. Sterling:
Jo is a friend Pure Justice has made since coming to Paragon. He met her shortly after his arrival there and they have now been friends for a little over two years. In those two short years, they have been through a lot and it has only served to forge their friendship and bring them close together. He is ferociously protective of Jo and cares for her more than he does anyone else. Jo is also the only person, outside of Justice X, that knows just as much about Pure Justice as the guys do. Pure Justice would easily give his life for Jo, no matter what.

Arch-Enemies:
As usual, with any hero or vigilante type, where there are friends there are foes. And with Pure Justice, he just keeps adding to the list.
Pure Injustice:
This is the clone of Pure Justice, courtesy of Arachnos. Unfortunately they made him to well, which drove him insane. Now this monster, who will not stay dead, aims to ruin everything Pure Justice stands for and holds dear. Pure Injustice is bigger, stronger, faster, and better with two swords than Pure Justice is with one. Until recently, Pure Justice was content with just killing the clone and waiting until the next go around, but Pure Injustice crossed a line. When he attacked Jo personally in the Rikti War Zone, Pure Justice declared all bets are off.
The Giggling Guard:
If one deals with Pure Injustice, odds are, you deal with these two. Arbiter Chuckles and Laughing Leslie. They are Pure Injustice’s personal guards and ‘errand’ people. They are both abducted mental patients that have been manipulated and outfitted with stolen Soldier of Arachnos armor and gear. Despite their mental disabilities, they are extremely dangerous. Though, unfortunately for them, Pure Injustice goes through them like toilet paper, constantly having to replace them.
Jo Injustice:
Jo’s turn for a clone, with all credit aimed towards Pure Injustice. He cloned the real Jo to be a taunt at Pure Justice. Meaning, he would have what Pure Justice possibly could not have. Jo Injustice is as crazy as her 'Snookums' and just as dangerous. She worships the ground Pure Injustice walks on and loves running around pretending to be the real Jo, causing her and Pure Justice as much trouble as she can.
Masato Shi:
Justice Death. Masato was the top student at the dojo where Pure Justice trained. He was also the son of the sensei there, but later killed him due to his favor towards Pure Justice. When Pure Justice arrived at the dojo, Masato quickly began to hate the westerner for stealing his fathers favor and taking his top spot. One day in training, Pure Justice left Masato with a scar under his right eye. This was the day he swore he would have his revenge on Pure Justice. Now, years later, he has surfaced, seeking his revenge.
General King:
Coming Soon (Enemy has not yet been revealed in game as Going Rogue has not released yet)
Weaknesses and Limitations:
The most prominent limitation, and what some might consider a weakness, Pure Justice has is that he is a normal human being. He can only do so much and he feels it is never enough. His weakness is his overprotective nature towards the ones he cares about. This especially holds true for Jo. If his friends are ever in danger, there is no telling what he could run blindly into.
Comments:
((Feel free to leave I.C. thoughts or feelings from your characters about Pure Justice))
- "Peej... He is definitely one of the more important people in my life... I trust him completely, even with my life. Just wish he'd stop apologizing to me about things he has no control over. Regardless, the man is one of the first people I turn to if something happens. I know he'll be there for me, no matter what... and I think that's all I'm going to say. Get to know him for yourself." - Jo M. Sterling
- "The man brought the name Pajama on himself, when he let people call him PJ... I wonder if he actually has a name... Anyway, from what I can see, he's sweet, cool, and tries his best not to hurt anybody that doesn't deserve it. I mean, it's not like we're all that close, but hey, who knows? I bet we could be really good friends. Besides, Jo thinks he's great. That's worth somethin'." Sylvia
RP Notes:
- Has a very strong Southern accent.
- Super Leap is RP'ed as using grapnel guns.
- Is very rarely seen without his sunglasses or mask. Typically the only time this happens is around just Justice X and Jo M. Sterling.
- Always wears a cross around his neck on a small chain. Usually tucked inside his shirt or body armor.
- When any of his body is showing, one would notice different bruises, cuts, and scars from his life of vigilantism.
- IF he's wearing cologne, it is Pleasures for Men by Estee Lauder. Again, usually worn around Jo and never when he's going to be on a mission.
- If seen using a a solid black sword, it is a bokken made of polypropylene with a titatium rod in the center. This is used for non-lethal purposes. VERY rarely used.
- The proto-metal refferred to about his sword can be found in the novel, City of Heroes: The Web of Arachnos. Chapter 40 in the fight with Statesman and Recluse.
- Due to some recent events, Pure Justice's sword is now a holy relic. He is now able to harm magical based beings, including demons. The sword itself may make magic based characters slightly uncomfortable.
