Personality
Pyre Curse
When she first came to the Rouge Isles, Pyre was young and nieve. Her firey nature and tortured past left her scarred and damaged. The Circle of Thorns had also left their mark on her in ways she did not know about or understand. She sought to gain strength through displays of brute force. She fought "in the moment" and ignored the concepts of caution and restraint, particularly when facing her one hate, the Circle. That changed when she was recruited by Baron Crimson into his Darwinian Order. Under his command, he began to show her how to use intelligence and cunning to win battles, rather than spend herself casting fire and rushing headlong into enemies.
The side effect of her service under the Baron was that he slowly began to brainwash her into a loyal servant. She came to believe that anything he said was true and that she would do whatever he asked without question.. even if it went against her own ideals and thoughts. Once earned, her loyalty is unswerving, and thus she served eagerly, seeking out beings of power for him to recruit and allies to aide them. This time ended through the influence of one of their allies who, for reasons known only to him, tricked and drugged Pyre into betraying her "master". The Baron's fury was swift in denouncing her and attempting to end her life.
Lost, with all she believed now in question, Pyre joined the Imperialization Nation to search for a new purpose. Through the influence of her new allies, Pyre learned that she was her own person who did not need to mindlessly obey. Pyre matured and grew confident, displaying wit and charm that endeared her to those who got to know her. She will sometimes "mother" her allies when they're injured or upset and has been described to have a "healer's heart".
However, true to her fiery nature, Pyre can be quick to anger and difficult to calm except by those she respects. Her love for DarkSlyde can sometimes be a distraction, but she seems to be able to focus on the matter at hand when necessary.
Vanth
Vanth is a true neutral. She lacks any ambition except for a desire to "see interesting things". She is, at her core, a watcher and a guide, preferring to take a spectator's role to events. She is an ancient being who has seen countless worlds and timelines from her home realm. Her thoughts tend to run deep and intellectual and she will give sound advice to those she thinks need to hear it. While being neutral, Vanth is also opinionated and not afraid to let others know what she thinks.
Vanth has the power of foresight, but is limited while here in the "mortal realm". While seeing the past is easy, Vanth can only see "possibilities" for the future. Some give her the sense of being more likely to happen than others, but her creator also limited her in how direct she can be in telling any about what she saw. This leads her to often make abstract or cryptic statements that must be decifered to determine their meaning. Vanth has recently discovered a loophole in this by letting Pyre see the "visions" as well. However, Pyre is not as skilled in interpreting some of the more cryptic or obscure "clues".
Having been created by the whim of a divine being and coming from another realm, Vanth does not perceive the world the way most do. She knows of anger, grief, happiness, and so forth only as abstract ideas. For example, she will often describe herself as being "content" instead of "happy".
Abilities
Fireflower was born with, for her tribe, the unusual ability to control fire. Her control over her elemental gift grows by the day. Her gift comes easily to her in battle and she can cast heating spells to keep food warm or to summon massive amounts of super-hot fire to turn a corpse to ash, something she calls "flashing". Flashing is impractical in battle since do it to even one body is extremely taxing and leaves her drained and exhausted.
What started as empathy that was natural to those of her kind was corrupted into the ability to only feel the pain of others and share her own. She does still feel how someone close to her is feeling, but only when she isn't distracted by battle or something else. As time passes she is learning how to project emotions onto a mind that needs it. Pyre is graced with the natural feline agility of her people. By harnessing some of her internal energy, she has gained the ability to fly.
Pyre has an excellent sense of smell which she uses for everything from tracking down enemies to figuring out how much power someone has to sometimes being able to literally scent a lie. She becomes rather disturbed if she can't smell someone or something. Also, given her feline heritage, her hearing and sight is far more acute than a humans.
Weaknesses
Being quick to anger, her feral rage can leave her blind to recognizing when a battle is lost. She will fight to her last breath. She is also still easily influenced by almost anyone charismatic. Her feline nature also makes her obsessive about staying clean and will spend her idle time wiping away dust and grime that may get on her during battle.
Her major weakness is a high susceptibility to catnip. While it does take a high dose to influence her, once under she becomes very gullible and suggestable. She'll listen to and believe almost anything that sounds reasonable.
Her devotion to her friends often leads Pyre to overexerting herself and using up her stores of magic until she collapses. Despite constant advice and suggestions to 'be careful', Pyre will do anything to help a friend.
Background
Early Life
Fireflower was born to a tribe of humanoid felines living in Eden. The elders of her tribe were frightened by her rare and potentially dangerous ability to control and summon fire. However, she was raised as all 'kits' of their kind were with an early introduction to their pacifist and isolationist ideals. Her passionate nature led her to be far more adventurous and daring than other kits of her year. Being able to sense the emotions of her tribemates as all of her kind could, Fireflower was aware of the fear the others felt towards her. She found that exploring every footlength of their valley kept her from having to feal the constant fear/loathing. Growing up as a loner, Fireflower gradually began to wonder what was on the other side of the tall cliffs that ringed their idyllic valley. Since the kits of her tribe were taught that only death awaited them over the cliff walls, she was hesitant to actually cross them. However, one day when she was 12, she caught one of the migrating birds that passed through the valley and tied a bright piece of string to its foot. She released the bird and watched it fly away with the rest of its flock over the walls. Fireflower waited for the birds the next year and spotted her bird among the returning flock, showing her that the outside world could not be as lethal as the elders wanted them to believe.
From Good to Bad
Rejecting the isolationist ways of her people, Fireflower struck out on her own and quickly stumbled across Paragon City. Naive and trusting, she was lured into a group of Circle of Thorns who sought to use her inherent fire abilities for themselves. At first they treated her well, like a queen. However, soon, they started attempting to enslave her soul piece by piece. Along with performing unholy rituals on her to increase her power, the entire episode left her with a fractured mind and a hatred for most of the human race. Adopting the name Pyre Curse for herself she went on a brief but satisfying rampage of Talos Island before being captured and sent to the Zig. She was broken out a few months later and has been searching for a purpose in the Rouge Isles.
Finding a Purpose
After escaping the Zig, and her earlier fury cooled, Pyre Curse was at a loss at what to do with herself. She spent some time doing small heists and operations to make ends meet, but kept searching for something to fight for. Besides wanting to exterminate the Circle of Thorns from the Earth, she had no real ambition towards world domination or anything else. For a while, she simply survived. That all changed the day she was sought out by Baron Crimson. What he offered her was a cause to support and fight for. Still somewhat nieve she found herself wooed by his charisma and what he offered. She eagerly accepted a position as his personal lieutenant in his Darwinian Order and quickly began training to become "strong enough". However, that was not to last...

RP Info
Pyre has expressive golden eyes that make lying for her difficult. Her magical aura for those who can sense it, is usually warm and comforting, with a hint of demonic essence. This changes for when Vanth is in control of the body, the demonic essence becomes much more pronounced, but tends to lack any malice or oppression. If felt, it gives a feeling of calm waiting. Pyre is empathic and, while normally shielded fairly well, is sensitive to strong or intense emotions, particularly anger or lust.
When Vanth is in control, this is not an issue. While Vanth can see/feel auras, she is not empathic like Pyre and perceives emotions differently.
