Trevor Neumann was one of many physicists working for Crey to develop new methods of creating their 'secret' army of Protectors as well as new technological advances. He was the lead scientist in a lab that was looking to quantum mechanics for their next break in meta-human empowerment. The team had not had any luck in this area until one night, when they were packing up for the day, a freak accident caused a test animal to show signs of enhanced abilities. The team was excited, but tired. The others called it a day thinking the advancement was a dead end, since the animal had died shortly afterwards. Trevor saw the potential and, knowing that Crey would be shutting them down soon if he showed no results, decided to stay late and work on it. Early the next morning he had a breakthrough. The test animals would do no good for his final experiment, they were too frail. It would have to be a human. The potential was so huge, he decided to test it on himself. It worked. No sooner had powers manifested in him, the building erupted in alarms. They had been watching. Armed guards rushed the lab. In defense he used his new abilities to toss a metal table at them. Bullets flew, but they all stopped inches from his body and fell. His feet left the ground as he started to levitate. He laughed. He could fly! He could feel the magnetic poles of the planet pulling and pushing at him! It was wonderful! He darted over the men and through the 5th story window at the end of the hall and never looked back. Ever since he had remained hidden while learning more about his powers. Ever vigilant for Crey's spies and enforcers. Crey wanted what they considered theirs. Crey wanted his powers. Even with the fears of his new life he now felt free. Free to fly into the night.
