Overview
Character Background
John Puller was raised in a rural southern town with his family, growing up with his father a slightly crazed WW1 Veteran caused the young John to enlist as soon as able into the United States Army. Not long after the next great conflict sparked, Puller was inducted into a highly secretive unit designed to combat both human targets and magic based supers. Dropped in early during the occupation of France he and his team advised the resistance and kept a low profile... Until the push to Berlin had started, leading up to an event which would change the mans life.
Late one night while on a scout mission his team had come across a group of Nazi occult specialists preparing some sort of ritual. Wasting no time the team dispatched the group proving once again that guns are superior to talking.
During the search of their bodies John had found half of a book written in an odd language he had never seen before which seemed to radiate its own power. After finishing his major mission to combat the occult forces in Europe and tired of being frozen in a trench day and night Puller went AWOL and vanished into the night. For years Puller stayed in Europe living day by day until walking into a thrift store one day only to have a woman take a glance at his book and offer him knowledge beyond measure for free if only he would study the book every day. Training hard every day Puller soon started to manifest magical powers, his tutor randomly vanishing one day with a smiley face painted on the door and all of her items gone. Puller made his way back to America and joined the hippie culture up until the outbreak of the Hamidon Wars to make use of his healing and protective wards, taking great joy in following the soon to be Emperor in a just fight for all mankind.
After the major battles we're over with the defeat of the Hamidon, John went back to his studies and became a mage of considerable power.. How ever things would soon change during a botched summoning attempt of a minor demon familiar. Instead he ended up summoning a greater demon who was none too pleased with her sudden pull into the mortal plane. Quickly wounding Puller and nullifying his magic she turned to gloat in battle giving Puller a chance to pull his pistol and finish her off.. How ever before her defeat she marked Puller so she would always know where he was and could speak to him in his mind in an attempt to make deals for his magical power.
Things went well for years save for the occasions Puller would yell at a wall when in fact he was having an argument with a demon in his head. Despite acting as a consultant in magic related crimes for the PPD he was caught by cameras assisting a group of Resistance against ghouls one night and subsequently had his home raided where he was then taken to the BAF. Fearing for his life he made a call out to the demon he had known for years as Baalithria, ready to make a deal. In exchange for his full magical knowledge Baalithria would grant him her powers and link their souls together so she could at times take control of his form and take "vacations." Quickly agreeing to this, his form seemed to melt into a dark energy before reforming into his current state. Shocked at this apparent betrayal the new demoness broke out of the BAF, offering no mercy to her captors and joining the Resistance to become a heavy hitter. Things went as well as things could have given his situation, quickly rising through the ranks she quickly became a noted specialist in morally lose jobs. Until one day.. There was a calling for her to save her world and go to another Earth as a representative.
At first her arrival on Primal Earth was not well liked.. Failure to coincide with common laws and discrimination against her kind led her off to the Rogue Isles where she pulled jobs for Arachnos at times. Then one day her criminal record was expunged and she was back in Paragon. No one knows how she did this but there is a photo of her carrying a US General on her shoulder out of a badly damaged military base... These days she can be found in Paragon living as a homeless person due to most people not wanting to live in an apartment building with a demon and her free willed nature. Defending citizens on some days and on others interfering with police arrests she has reached a place of minor infamy for most and a high place of reverence to those she helps.
Personality
John Puller before his transformation was more or less a good guy with certain vices. After the transformation it was a different story.. With new instincts coming into play at the on start of her Resistance life she was a brutal and bloodthirsty individual known to play with her "prey". How ever as time went on John became more and more relaxed and human like again after adapting to how things are. Now a days she is a very quiet individual with very few friends and will almost never speak to strangers. However she is friendly and approachable with a wonderful if not horrid sense of humor.
Her appearance is limited mostly to t-shirts and pants only recently starting to even take care of her hair, she spouts of profanities at every turn and is more or less a shining example of how not to act as a normal productive citizen.
Powers/Tactics
Super Strength
Puller is a deceptively strong opponent who with her claws uses her hands and feet and a very technical fighting style. Using pressure points and joint breaks and straight up dirty fighting she uses her strength to its fullest. It has never been tested how strong she actually is but it was once recorded of her beating one skull's member with another skull's member during an attempted robbery of an old woman. There have also been reports of her tail capable of being used as a weapon.
Shield Defense
At first one of her demonic powers manifested into an energy shield which she claims is as strong as her willpower. Opponents engaging in close range combat with her have noted that it seems to empower her the more the odds are stacked against her, increasing her strength.
Other Powers
Has great powers of sarcasm and smack talking. However one ability of note is some thing that didn't show up until very recently. The strong manipulation of dark energy, channeling it to weaken strong opponents or very literally filling a large radius around her base with destructive void energy if threatened. She has since been put on watch by the police after it was shown she was becoming corrupted by this energy.
Goals/Motivations
Puller's current activities simply include her learning to live life again as a powerful demon and not break things while doing it. As well as adjusting to her new gender role albeit slowly but surely, recently deciding to use the name Anani. Her reasons for this when asked by a news crew was that she was tired of people saying "Well that doesn't suit an angel like yourself." Puller views life as a ride and doesn't think she should answer to anyone except her own rules. Now a days she hangs out with her best friend leading a relatively simple life by media standards.

Neekala: Simply put Anani/John has found a great friend and kindred spirit in Neekala. Though it had been shown that she loves seeing her dear friend squirm. These two clearly have a strong friendship between one another.
