Ragen Sahandra began as MUD character, my very first and probably my worst decision, spending hours on him for little result as an enchanter type mage left me with horrendous problems leveling alone. Eventually grouping with others and then roleplaying became alot more important then levels.

History
Born 1st in line to the house of Rahken he was destined to rule its principalities. His father was a man of arms and battle, who disdained his son's thirst for knowledge, in a land where magery was rare it was not difficult to keep young ragen from his goals. His mother died giving birth to his youngest sibling Jonas, and his father not long after this from a suspicious hunting accident.
It was at age 12 that Ragen was entrusted unto the position of Prince regent, ruler of his house. He notably dismissed his aunt banishing her when she attempted to claim the position of Matriarch. Many believed this puts him as his fathers son who forbade any matriarch in Rahken, unlike other houses.
Yet where his father was a harsh man, Ragen was exacting, and anyone who questioned his right to rule were offered to be silent or leave his lands. It was not long before he was onto the arcane, now having no hindrance to his desire, but he was overly enthusiastic, a misdone spell left him with a permanently active form of magical and true sight. Closing his eyes made nary a difference for he still saw in a complete globe about him and somewhat further out in the direction he faced.
It was with much aide he returned to his studies anew not chancing anymore hasty actions...
Somehow he has found himself in Paragon city at the age of 16, though he has represented himself as much older and claims no memory of his past life until his arrival. He was classified as not as a mutant for his extra dimensional abilities and not as a mage because the most noticeable power he demonstrated was the one he did not intuitively understand, electrokinesis. Later it was discovered he was also a mage and much paperwork ensued.
He has recently encountered a young woman, Marazel in a hidden base for something called the Seeker's of Light. Though he does not understand it he is more or less a member of the order as he found the location and now... someone seems to ensure that he gets assigned to many duties benefitting this group including the education of one electricity user, Little Lizard.
Personality
The calm logical nature of this individual is noticeable, he has yet to fully hide how often he calculates out what responses and the like he should make for a favourable representation of himself. This does not make him in essence a liar instead it is more of a management skill he has apparently picked up and does not notice. He is in reality rather out of place, humans are exotic to him, personal situations are not something he has experienced well, he hides insecurities and fear of this world not his own as well as his loss of memory. He also has a problem with tact to a point thanks to his perceptive power.

Powers
Electrokinesis
He controls and emits forms of electricity, still learning about this new science called physics, he started off using just the barest of uses for this power, throwing bolts of electricity but has progressed into making containments and even allowing him to fly.
Darkness manipulation
Darkness as a substance has many names, it is a shadowy substance and while most focus on its negative aspect it also has a positive, or does so in Ragen's hands. He conjures forth many effects, from healing to binding to even staving off death.
Additional Powers
Ragen can see in a complete globe about himself, registering energy patterns psionics and after study the powers of others, though only through trial and error does he recognized what he is seeing. He also sees through illusions passably well with this power.
He is a latent psionic not fully realizing his telepathic potentials or the full source of his electrokinesis, psionic attacks are leaking into his electrical ones.
He has mastered teleporting willing subjects and himself, though the effects of each teleport vary from puffs of smoke to a surge of static.
Finally, Ragen has the ability to speed up his movements.
Abilities
Weaknesses and Limitations
The inability thus far to shut his vision off is annoying, it requires him to enter meditative states to sleep or become exhausted, he sees much more then most and this can be confusing, also just as a bright light can blind a normal person he is vulnerable to other normally non visible effects of this manner, though it has never harmed him directly he can in effect be blinded. Also the possibilities of distortions make his interactions with the world sometimes difficult. He does not see the colors of normal vision more often then not, and reading is at times impossible, though he has a few tricks for these problems.
He is only 16, and as reasonable and calm as he wishes he could eternally remain he is in fact a bit too impetuous and prone to rash acts. He also lacks the social maturity in some cases to effectively interact with others, coupled with his bravado and his secret insecurities makes life difficult for him.
