She was born under rainy skies and neon lights, a place of dark streets and bright dreams. Long ago people called it the City of Heroes, but now graffiti on the walls read "Paragone" and "hero" meant a broken Rikti War vet.
Superpowers were passe and beauty was cheap, thanks to technology. Signing a ten-year contract with the Japanese zaibatsu or Chinese mafia got you enough cybernetics and genemods to squash an armored division. You got to do their dirty work on the streets, but hey, it was a tax-free job with benefits.
They called people like her razorgirls, delivery boys, street samurai. She bought into that promise of power: a life of dodging bullets, blowing up robots, cheap thrills and expensive living that ended when the high-tech doodad she was hired to guard malfunctioned and kicked her rear forty years back in time.
When she woke up in a hospital she asked "Where?" and they said "Paragon City", and she smiled and spent a week in a coma.
Later she wished she'd asked, "When?"
Weaponry
The katana is the favored weapon of street samurai for a number of reasons. It is silent and does not run out of ammunition. Its close, personal nature produces little collateral damage. It is the stereotypical weapon of wanna-be badasses everywhere. Unlike many sword-wielding heroes, Razorgirl's expertise is not confined to a particular weapon and she is perfectly at home everything from authentic Japanese blades to high-tech energy swords. She is most commonly seen carrying a Karasawa GX3 monomolecular Impervium blade. In addition to her sword, her cybernetic eyes sport integral solid-state lasers that allow her to literally kill with a glance, and she carries a wide range of other equipment, including a compressed-gas jetpack, fragmentation grenades and a nanomachine medikit.
Cyberware
Razorgirl's reflexes and reaction time have been phenomenally improved by cybernetics. She can move and fight at superhuman speed and evade almost any attack; an integral ECM/ECCM system allows her to dodge even homing weaponry. The technology is so effective, it even works against magical assault. Optic camouflage allows her to avoid most forms of detection while cybernetic radar, ultrasound and thermal imaging systems boost her senses to superhuman levels. Her defenses include psi-blockers that protect her from mind control as well as most common forms of psychic attack.
Genemods
Gene therapy has significantly boosted her stamina, celluar regeneration and her natural senses in order to cope with the demands of her cybernetically enhanced body and reflexes. When pressed hard in battle she can trigger a burst of adrenaline and other hormones that temporarily prolongs her combat endurance.
