Ringbearer
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
Evan Roseman, though not the first to bear Earth's Ring, is the first to possess it in many centuries. When the quake which destroyed Overbrook brought the chamber to the surface, the ring was found by a police officer during the rescue effort, who later gave it to his young son Evan, who became earth's Ringbearer.
In the aftermath of a lethal battle with the Ringbearer of Praetorian Earth, Evan finds himself with two Rings, able to use both at once since the two rings are identical, and both recognize him as being born on "Earth."
Each Ring grants its user control over a different force or element, able to shape and control it through concentration.
The Rings which have currently been witnessed, and their powers, are described below:
- Ring of Terra
Currently worn on the right hand of Evan Roseman, Earth's Ringbearer. This ring grants its Ringbearer power over the element of "energy," enabling him to create constructs of solid light, crafting them into any shape he can imagine. He most often uses this power to surround himself in a protective shield, fire concussive energy blasts, and entrap foes in "light cages." He also creates animal constructs out of pure energy which attack his foes ("energy sharks" are a personal favorite of Evan's for this power).
- Ring of Praetoria
The ring of Praetorian Earth, formerly worn by the Praetorian Ringbearer (also named Evan Roseman). Now in the possession of Earth's Ringbearer after a brutal battle between the two evenly-matched champions which resulted in the Praetorian's accidental death after Earth's Ringbearer removed his ring while in flight, and was too drained from the fight to save him. This ring has the same powers as the Ring of Terra. This ring can be utilized by the Primal Earth's Ringbearer, but not any other person from Primal Earth, since the Ring already acknowledged the (identical) Praetorian Evan Roseman as its Bearer.
- Ring of Luna
The ring of Earth's moon, this ring's powers and whereabouts are unknown.
