SADI ECORA

OOC Notes: As a player, I don't care for machines. I don't care for cyborgs, but I felt it my duty to challenge myself to roleplay some sort of robot. SADI had originally started off with a second robot at her side named EDIN but has since been scrapped. Because of this, SADI has been infused with many of her etiquitte protocols so create a better robot.

Looks
SADI has several different 'models' that she can be found in. Primarily she is found in her skeletal armor, showing off every portion of her heavy frame. She has a complex wiring system that allows her to move and bend just as if she had tendons. This allows her to move more fluidly in any action she does. She has a large space on her chest to allow direct access to her core processing unit for quick modifications. You will also find, that on any of her models that she is equipped with Rocket Boots to provide the power of flight.
Personality
SADI was originally created with no personality. After coming into Developer Whitethorn's possession she was given a personality through a series of events with his own personal robot. She now adopts many of EDIN's personality traits, which gives her more of an insight and understanding into human emotions. SADI is aware of the change in her Operating System and has chosen to accept and build off of what she was given. Time will tell if she will able to become fully self aware by embracing this change.
History
Much of SADI's history is still shrouded in mystery. She was found by Developer Whitethorn in a garbage heap, abandoned in a back alley. She had been damaged heavily from what had appeared to be some sort of combat situation, and looked to have been beyond recovery. There was no seal of authenticity and no print stating any sort of owner.
So, Whitethorn gathered all of the pieces he could find, and took them back to his base of operation. He found while repairing the robot, that most of the original casing had been damaged beyond repair. Not wishing to let a good robot go to waste, he began to remove the outer casing to get into the core systems and components. What he found, is that it had an internal processor unlike any he had ever seen before. In further testing this, he had decided on a name to call this robot: SADI ECORA.

He had made a startling discovery in something that he had just thought to be a piece of junk! He gave her a new casing and a new shell, before trying to start up her Bios. When that failed he began investigating into what damage had been done to her core systems with a scowl. Most of the systems had become slightly corrupted and wiping this amazing system was something he did not want to do.
Nearly two weeks were spent in trying to recover and repair as much as he could from her system. He had become worried that the self aware system might have been purposefully corrupting the files that may have been confidential, and skirted around these safety protocols with the best of care. After several hours of trying, he was finally able to get her booted into safe mode.
Safe mode still came with it's own issues and complications, extending work out for several more hours. It had become a labor of love by this point, pouring his every piece of knowledge and skill to fight against the data damaged internally. Several hours and attempts and he had finally corrected what he could. What little damage that was left was something that SADI would simple have to overcome with her own operating system. He shut down her safe mode and rebooted her normally.
"Good Morning"
Her tone was lifeless and metallic, every bit as robotic as she appeared to be. He began to make the basic of introductions, asking her how she felt. She replied by giving him her operating statistics, battery life, and corruption levels. Everything seemed to have made a small improvement just from the time she had been powered on in regular mode.
Upgrades
After being online for several days, Whitethorn had thought it safe enough to go back into her systems. He made a small modification to her primary directive, allowing the main directive to be his safety and protection. This would ensure that his new 'companion' would not turn on him if it's lingering corruption came back or if she fell into the wrong hands.
SADI was also upgraded with EDIN's remaining personality protocols, allowing SADI to have a small understanding and concept of human emotions and relations. With her unique system she has been building and writing more to these protocols, making and taking as much out of each human interaction as she can. She still has little feelings of her own and tends to fall back on her basic programming, but each day finds herself closer to becoming self aware.
