"Through the rooms they scoured,
Split up - all but one was coward,
The children were each cursed through each room,
One alone met the High Priest exhumed,
Out they ran lest they be devoured."
Origins
|
THE CRASH: Travelers, businessmen and
women, families - they were all on a plane flying over Egypt. The plane
mysteriously started to lose altitude just over an ancient tomb. A handful
of children were left as survivors in the desert. Desperate for shelter,
the children made their way to the tomb of Tukashirtin.
It wasn't as safe as they had anticipated though; the evil dead High Priest
had cursed different parts of the tomb. The children split up to stake out
their areas and thus received different experiences. For about three years,
the children roamed the desert, discovering new ways to live. After hopping from caravan to caravan and oasis to town and back, the children made it to a small city with an airport. They finally were able to return home, but without many of their relatives.
THE HOME: Amira's father was in America while the plane was traveling, making him one of the only close relation adults. He took in all the children left homeless and parentless that needed a kind heart. The children that stayed with the Maktubs know him to be a very kindhearted software engineer who lives in one of the outlying towns around Paragon.
It's thirteen years since, Amira
and her friends have grown up and they've been exploring their supposed
"curse." They've now discovered that the High Priest was
indoctrinating the young travelers in hopes of making them his disciples.
|
UPDATE: The High Priest Tukashirtin's temple disappeared in the time from when the children left Egypt and when Amira came back to search for clues of her and her friends' powers. The plane they crashed in had been moved to face where the temple had been, but geophysics showed no underground temple or anything. There was no trace of the temple.
Amira and Scott have been working together to bring the gang back together to be updated, and to possibly uncover more about their memories of the temple, and the effects from the temple.

If you're aspiring to join the Supergroup, you must:
1. Be Human
2. Have Magic Origin
3. Have Sand-Based Power sets (No guns, no minions)
4. Have a Sand related name (doesn't have to specifically say 'Sand'). Your real name may be anything you want.
Typically, your first costume should be everyday street clothes.
Slightly more themed clothing is alright as long as it's not over the top.
We're all from different areas of the world, even though we were all on the same plane over Egypt.
Our second costumes are supposed to show off the powers we have acquired, or are our Hero costumes.
NOTE: THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS FOR SAND-BASED CHARACTERS THAT WERE NOT IN THE CRASH - AMIRA
